And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: an update from Camp Primo! This is the three-day cousin camp my parents put on for their grandkids. It’s not just any camp. Let’s take a little stroll through their pictures and see just what they did. Here are the Top Ten Photos and Events from Camp Primo 2010:
1. It all begins with squeezing in as much stuff as is humanly possible and as many carseats as they can squeeze into the back of the car.
2.This year they stayed in a cottage. Somehow they got a handicapped cottage and all the dishes were on the bottom level. This was apparently great fun.
3. They stayed at Amicalola Falls, which is Native American for “tumbling waters”. They learned this because they are working on their Georgia Junior Ranger Program and had to learn the Falls’ history to earn a badge.
4. My niece, Nora and Lydia climbing up the stairs to see the waterfall. My dad (aka Papa) apparently carried Asa up 99% of the stairs.
5.They also went to the Consolidated Gold Mine to pan for gold (yes, the same place I snagged our 7 Dwarfs’ Mine!)
6. They even went INSIDE the mine. Don’t you just admire my parents for taking THREE kids into a place where you have to wear hardhats?!
7. They also did some creek-stomping. (*looking for wikipedia article*) Here is my dad giving the kids some very specific creek-stomping instructions.
8. For their “Look Up” badge, they did some stargazing.
9. And of course, there were s’mores!
10. And last but not least, Asa got his first driving lesson.
This doesn’t include the theme song they sang, the memory verse they learned, the crafts they made, the cabin-living they did and more! Thank you, Mama and Daddy for loving my kids! I love you!

What great parents! We took our three kids to Amicalola Falls, three and under at the time, and let me tell you–those stairs are not easy! I give your dad a lot of credit. What great memories the cousins are going to have!
Love the idea of this camp!
That’s wonderful!! And brave 🙂 We went to some falls too (there’s a picture in my post) and the stairs… ugh. It had signs that said daunting things like “90 more steps to the top”. As if that does anyone any good at all…
I think the grandparents earned themselves quite a few badges as well. Your parents look great! What a blessing to have grandparents who love the Lord and teach their grandchildren about Him!
PLEASE ADOPT ME! 🙂
looks like they had a lot of fun
I loved Amicalola Falls! We went camping in tents for the first time as a family last year. There’s a couple of apple orchards nearby that we pick at each year. We decided it would be fun to tent camp and then pick apples. It was fun except it rained the entire time and the raccoons got into our cooler and ate the bacon!
I love this! Maybe I should, uh, forward this to my mom! Haha. Except it will be a few years before there is more than one grandchild! 😀
Your parents have more energy than any couple I know. I am worn out after keeping more than1 grandbaby during the day.
Looks like lots of fun. I think I will do that but bring their parents along!
I can’t WAIT for Ladybug and my niece to be old enough to go to Grammy’s for a week. They are going to LOVE Cousin Camp, I’m sure. But Grammy lives in PA, so they’ll need to be a wee bit older. We’re actually all getting together this weekend so the cousins will be able to start bonding! Yay!
Love all the things your mom and dad do with the kids. So wonderful!
Looks like everyone had a great time! What wonderful grandparents the children have been blessed with!
Your parents are so awesome and look at all the cute blondies!
What fun! I’ll have to show my parents this so they can host a Camp Primo for my kiddos and nieces!
What wonderful parents you have! Cousin Camp looked awesome. Cute pictures too.
Oh my goodness! What fun! But I must say….is that your mother in the pictures?? She looks sooo young!!!! Must be where you get your good looks from! What a blessing your parents must be!
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
Great Post! Glad I found your blog! Will be back for more! Thanks
I’ve recently started a website, the information you offer on this site has helped me tremendously. Thank you for all of your time & work.
When i visit this site, it’s more valuable and if you interest with know about health care, you can visit my site too
With immense pride I wholeheartedly recommend the website http://www.seo-backlinks.org.uk to all those who are searching for quality Backlink Diversity that will knock out google panda and penguin crush your competition and catapult your website to the first page of Google search engine. I am extremely happy and impressed with their professional, prompt and dedicated services. So go online and explore the web now.
Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
Thanks for the info! Always pressure to read an awesome post! Thanks again will be back for more!
Hey this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if
blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code
with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I
wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
