We had lunch at my parents house this weekend and while we were there Mama pulled out a bunch of old pictures. Really, the box was labeled “Old and Very Old Pictures”. They belonged to my grandmother and we stole them from her husband’s house after she died. Literally.
So, I carefully picked out some sweet retro photos to share with you for the next few weeks. This morning after breakfast, I drug the kids upstairs to scan them. (The photos, not the kids.) And WOULDN’T YOU KNOW, I can’t get my scanner to work. And no, this is NOT my ridiculous-I-want-to-throw-it-in-the-ocean Brother scanner. This is my AMAZING Epson Artison 800 that I won from Silicon Valley Moms a few months ago. IT WON’T SCAN.
So you’re going to be retro-photo-less for a few more hours until I can get it working. Lydia has a doctor’s appointment this morning. She’s been coughing for over a week and it’s steadily getting worse. Not to mention (update ahead!) Daddy had to go to the hopsital yesterday for a chest x-ray AND get some antibiotics because he has a virus. So, I figured I’d get her checked out, too. YUCK.
Daddy is getting some blood tests back today to let us know about his platelets. Did I tell you about the platelets? I can’t remember–either way, you need to read my post about Daddy and Lydia at Impress Your Kids.
And in other terribly interesting news: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE PREMIERES TONIGHT!!!
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who is excited about So You Think You Can Dance. I’ve practically been counting down since the summer season ended.

OH NO! about the scanner, and about SYTYCD!!! I have a HUGE order of bags to finish tonight… and I can’t watch and sew at the same time! I’ll never get a thing done with the TV on! 🙁 Anyway… will you get a chance to watch it this time? I still need to send you the finale from last time!
