Light at the End of the Tunnel

I’m sorry to keep posting these depressing things about how I can’t keep up with my little pirate. But I really had no idea how big of a transition this new little guy would be.

However, today we have had FOUR good feedings. Four feedings without an arched back, without bleeding body parts and without me having a nervous breakdown. I’m hoping to get 8 good feedings today. That should carry me through to the end of week 3.

So, thanks for your prayers and encouragements. I’ve really  needed them. And tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow, I promise a Wordless Wednesday of my pirate. (I know he’s eating ok, because he’s gotten fatter. Wait till you see how cute he is!)

One thing that doesn’t make sense to me, why is breastfeeding so difficult when it is what God made us to do? I hope that today is much better and you get 8 good feeding in, isn’t it funny how our priorities and goals change with a new baby?

I’m glad it’s going a little better today. Look forward to seeing a new picture of him.

Praise God for four good feedings! I’ve been praying for you and your pirate, and God has been faithful! 🙂

I think it’s part of what the Bible means by us being sanctified through childbirth/rearing! I know that’s how I feel a lot! 🙂

I’ve never known what it’s like to not have a good nurser, but I do understand the bleeding body parts. I would take a deep breath and let it out as he latched on, and in letting out that breath saying, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus…”. I guess it helped, I’m not too sure. I am praying for you! It will all work out.

I’m glad it’s getting better – one day at a time, right? Lots of deep breaths…

Yay! I’m proud of you for sticking with it. It sounds like he and you are getting the hang of it. Did you nurse Lydia?

Oh, you poor thing. Those early days of nursing can be so hard. I’m glad things are looking better for you both.

Traveling backwards, catching up on posts…

Glad things are going better. I’ve been thinking about you a lot! (BTW, Asa was adorable in the video, as was Lydia!)

Could your next VLOG post be an explanation of where your BABY WEIGHT went? I’d like to send mine there, too!

Welcome!
