I had this great idea for a vlog because today I was feeling so good about nursing. And Lydia has just done awesome the last few days while I nursed. So, I was going to share a few little tips for anyone with a toddler/preschooler and a nursing infant. I had several things planned and then after I made the whole video. I realized I forgot 2 of my amazing and awesome tips.
Oh well, click here then view videos then uploaded videos then entertaining a preschooler while nursing.
Then come back and I’ll give you the final 2 ways I entertain Lydia. They are outstanding.
PLUS you get to see Asa live and in person!

OK, are you back? Did you love the vlog? I liked Lydia’s “Hi, Lydia!” best. And the bow. Oh my. She’s never worn that thing before and decided to wear it today. It’s a little Alabama for me. (Sorry, Alabama).
Anyway, here are my 2 extra tips for entertaining Lydia while nursing Asa:
1. A craft box. I let her cut, glue and craft to her heart’s content. (I’m going to post about this later…)
2. TV. duh.
3. (this one’s a bonus) CANDY.

And oh yeah, Asa is really 17 days old. Not 15. I can’t count. Or remember anything, obviously. Vlogtastic.

17 days old. 15 days old. He’s little. 😉
Lydia is adorable, as is Asa… “Goodbye, Lydia!”

Awesome vlog! It’s so great to see all of you, especially a live shot of Asa. 🙂 Has Lydia started to nurse her babies yet? I’m not sure if she will, but Shiloh did it w/ a toy chicken when I nursed Abigail. And Abigail did it w/ her baby since I had Israel. It’s definitely picture worthy.

Hi Amanda,
I have so enjoyed reading your blog (I found you through Becky’s blog…who is an old high school friend of mine)! Congrats on your sweet baby boy and your daughter is precious…what a blessing! I have a 3 year old and 5 mos. old twin boys. I nurse my boys and just when it got easier, around the one month mark, I would let my daughter pick a stack of books (and because nursing is pretty hands free) we would all read piles of books together! It makes me feel good that even while I’m nursing I can give my daughter some special one on one time too, and bonus the boys are included in our reading time also. All the best to you and your beautiful family!

If I ever get to have a second baby, I will come to you for help on how to entertain the big sibling while nursing the little one!

The art box and the TV have been HUGE helps for keeping Woggie occupied during feedings!…**she says while nonchalantly hiding all of her Alabama bows behind her back** 🙂
BTW, Woggie watched the video with me and was waving at you and Lydia the whole time!

You are so brave for vlogging! I tried to do a video last night and I think I started over about 50 times.
Great tips!
