So, I’ve been having an unofficial “31 Days to A Better Blog” this month. I’ve been wanting to get away from posts that start with this, “I don’t know what to blog about today…” or “I’m too tired to write something funny…”. Which is basically 50% of my repertoire. So, I decided to actually WRITE all month long about REAL stuff. And to actually PLAN what I was going to write before I just word-vomit on the screen and hit publish.
Well, I think I’ve done pretty good for the first…uh, 7 days, of this month. But…well, I’ve got some writing gigs this month and just can’t focus on a great blog post today. I’m nothing if not faithful.
My Writing To Do List:
1. Write an amazingly overdue post for an amazingly wonderful blog, Chic Critique. Founded by my amazing bloggy friend, Jo-Lynne of Musings of a Housewife. I feel like the opposite of amazing when I think about how long it’s taken me to get this post to her. (Do you see why I can’t write something good for my blog when I can’t even come up with a synonym for “amazing”?!)
2. Write a skit for my mom. She started a new job as a Children’s Pastor. As her first big vision-dream-intro to the church, she’s doing a big skit/service/thingie. I’m writing it. So. It’s kinda important. And due this week.
3. Write a website for my hubby’s new business. He just started a new business with his dad. They are already selling and moving and shaking, but their website says, “Coming Soon”. Les is afraid they may lose business because of it. So, I’m writing their Welcome Page, About Us, FAQ, etc, etc. The problem is I have no idea what my husband does. So, it sounds like a 3rd grader wrote it.
4. Day 4-10 of my vacation blog. Oh my goodness. Can you believe I left it at day 3? I’m so embarrassed!
Well, that’s all the time I have for today. I’ll see tomorrow with something ASTONISHING, ASTOUNDING, SURPRISING, STUNNING, SHOCKING, STARTLING, STUPEFYING, BREATHTAKING, AWESOME, SENSATIONAL, REMARKABLE, SPECTACULAR, STUPENDOUS, PHENOMENAL, EXTRAORDINARY, INCREDIBLE and UNBELIEVABLE! (yeah, I just typed “amazing” into my thesaurus…)

It’s okay. I haven’t gotten my post done yet in which I was going to answer your question about Disney memories. I was intending to do that yesterday, but life happened and I haven’t been able to focus. It’s coming soon.
I’m pleased I decided to do the April NaBloPoMo because it gave me a goal with my writing, and aside from Sunday, I’ve had something to write about every day. I guess I’m doing my own unofficial blog improvement, too.
Hope your list gets completed.

EWWWWW, I can’t imagine writing for my husband’s website! I’d be so lost! π

You’re so busy.

One thing I appreciate about you and your blog though is that you are real. Some days (maybe not 50% of the time) we need to know that there is someone else out there who doesn’t quite know what to say! π

Lofty goals indeed! I personally prefer the “word vomit”… makes me feel less inadequate. π

You’ve got a LOT on your plate. Take your time on my project. I have guest posts for the next few weeks. π
Your hubby’s project sounds like fun. you’ll have to link us to his website when you’re done with it.

I hope your fingers do you proud, and your mind brings forth many wonderful words.
Yeah, what is the business. I totally understand. You should try answering an electrical contractor’s phone and intelligently tell people how to rewire their entire house when I don’t have a clue what the difference between the red, black, or white wire is!!
Coach Jenny says
Uhhh…that should be “Yeah, what is the business?”
I can’t even type intelligently. π

Yeah, what is the new biz. If you need any website help give me a buzz. That’s what my hubs and I do.

Wow, you’ve got a lot going on! Go ahead. We can be patient. Genius can’t be rushed π

Nice post. I understand something much more difficult on distinct blogs everyday. Itβll always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice somewhat something from their store. Iβd prefer to make use of some with the content on my weblog whether or not you do not mind. Natually Iβll provide you with a link on your web blog. Thanks for sharing.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
