No more parties?!

I was out of town this weekend and missed the end of the UBP! I wonder if I won a prize? Oh, I did win a prize from Leslie at Duct Tape Halo! She’s from Sweden, so maybe I’ll get some Ginger Snaps or some Lutefisk. Go check her out, ’cause she’s hilaroius!

I guess I kind of thought all the mommy blogs would be the same–pictures of kids, news about playdates and diaper changes. But I was wrong! There are so many clever mamas who are developing cool products, sharing their craft and writing some really moving pieces. (Click thru my comments to meet some of these mamas.)

I can see how you can really connect and become friends with these women. After seeing my wedding pictures, Val at Purple Valley offered to print some pictures for me so I’d have something to display. (Why didn’t I know her 8 years ago?!) Thanks, Val! And thanks to everyone who visited my party and left a comment. I’m still working thru all them so I can return the favor. I can’t wait to keep reading and hanging out with my new friends!

Oh, I never got to share my 16th birthday party with you. My best friends and I wore formal dresses we got at a thrift store. Then we went to Underground Atlanta for dinner. Let’s just say we got a lot of stares. Here’s me & my brother (who rented his own tux. He was the only one who actually looked good!)

What is the moral of all these parties? Invest in a good camera! Good grief.
