Seven Links Challenge: Top Ten {Tuesday}

A few days ago (maybe weeks?) Darren at ProBlogger posted a little blogging exercise: The Seven Links Challenge. He gave seven prompts about your blog–links to find out more about yourself and your blog. I starred it in my reader and decided to give it a whirl…of course, I had to add #8-10. So, hopefully he’ll approve.

So. Here it is my TOP SEVEN TEN LINKS ABOUT MY BLOG, OHAMANDA:

blogging

1. My first post. Ah, my first post. I actually like this post. It’s about, what else? Blogging. Here you go: My First One.

2. A post I enjoyed writing the most. It’s called, “Something Beautiful Happened Today“. This is one of those posts I wrote in one sitting and it just flew out of my fingers. I was happy to post it. And I’ve looked back at it so many times to encourage myself.

3. A post which led to a great discussion. Two years ago I wrote a post about theology, aptly titled Oh Theology. It was much harder than I thought and it brought about some good discussion, but it was so intense that I could never write a Part 2.

4. A post on someone else’s blog you wish you’d written. Anything that’s ever flowed out of Scribbit’s fingers.

5. Your most helpful post. I don’t know if it’s the MOST helpful thing I’ve ever written–do I really write helpful posts?–but My Miracle, the story of Lydia’s first 6 weeks in utero is the first time I realized how powerful the internet could be. It was the first time I got interesting search engine hits—people would find that post by typing in things like “my baby’s heart just stopped beating” or “the doctor says my 6 week old baby is dead in my womb”. I pray I helped some mothers.

6. A post with a title that I’m proud of: Top Ten Snacks I Should Never Eat Again {But Will} and it’s alternate title “Top Ten Reasons I Think Exercise is Overrated”. Actually, I love most of my titles. I regularly snicker at them.

7. A post you wish more people had read. Love & Marriage or My First Parenting Scar. Both of these posts make my heart hurt.

8. A post with no words. You know a wordless post is very hard for me. But I do so love this picture: The Picture I’ll Cherish On Lydia’s Wedding Day. (Maybe that would have fit under the proud post title…)

9. A post you never published. I have 52 posts in my drafts folder. Some are there because they were only kinda-good ideas. Others are there because I’m too embarrassed to publish them.

10. Do you remember any of my posts? Any that stand out? Either good or bad? Funny or serious? (Really, leave me a comment, I’d love to know!)

:: :: ::

OK! Your turn. Got a Top Ten list to share? If you’re stuck for a topic, I’d love for you to do my 7-turned-10 links from Problogger. It was fun. I loved re-reading all my posts to find some good ones. Also, made me really like my blog! *happy sigh* Regardless of topic, all you gotta do is WRITE a post, LINK back to me, PASTE your url below and start LOVIN’ on the rest of the participants with comments, tweets or at least a little bit of traffic!

    I’m packing up to leave town, but I look forward to coming back and checking out these posts. It’s fun to see a blogger’s perspective on their own blog. My own blog is too new for introspection and reflection.

    I think I may have to use your idea for my own list in one of the coming weeks!! What a great way to share some past posts, especially ones you are proud of!
    Thanks for sharing your own as well as the idea!! I liked your post from recently on the church, from when you sadly found out a pastor you looked up too had fallen hard. Somehow its so easy to think Pastors are sinless, but they are no different then you and I and struggle with their sin-nature.

    This is a fun idea — maybe when I’ve been blogging for a few years instead of months I’ll give it a whirl. Meanwhile this week I’ll look forward to actually clicking through this post to read the posts you linked to!

    What a clever exercise – I’ll have to try this soon. And your post titles regularly make me snicker, too. 😉

    Oh – any posts I remember? Honestly, any of your posts about your Sisterchicks really stand out, because that’s not something I have in my life and really admire (and dare I say…envy?) it.

    I remember my first blog, it was 2 years ago about culture shock… the next blog was after 2 years… I couldn’t decide what to write until earlier this year. Thanks for sharing your top ten this week! Have a nice day!

    You’ve had some great ones (which is why you’re still a regular read in my feeds!) though I still have your advent calender collection tagged in my delicious tags. So even your crafts are fun.

    I can’t wait to go back and read all these! What a great prompt. Might have to do that next week for Top Ten Tuesday!

    What a wonderful idea! I can’t wait to go back and read them all. 🙂

    When I run out of kitchen tool ideas, I’ll have to do this for a Top 10 Tuesday.

    I remember a ton of your posts! About your Disney cruise and the sisterchicks cruise and all of your parties–especially Lydia’s snowflake party. Was she TWO then???

    I am a little jealous that you had 17 comments on a picture in 2007! Ha. Sadly it looks like with your current comment thing you can’t see who they were from.

    I need to re-read the 31DBBB. I went through it a few months ago and marked things to do . . . and then promptly forgot about it LOL.

    My post today is 10 Things to Do with Zucchini . . . I hope everyone can come over and link up their zucchini recipes. I’m trying to see how many I can collect!

    I like this. And I loved going back and reading your old links, especially since I’m a relatively new reader (since May-ish). That Parenting Scar post hit me at my core. I agree, more people should read it. Wow.

    I leave a comment when I especially enjoy a article on a website or I have something to contribute to the discussion. Usually it’s triggered by the fire displayed in the article I read. And after this article Top Ten {Tuesday}: The Seven Links Challenge | ohamanda.com. I was actually excited enough to drop a comment 🙂 I actually do have some questions for you if it’s allright. Is it simply me or does it look like a few of these responses come across like they are written by brain dead visitors? 😛 And, if you are writing at other sites, I’d like to keep up with you. Could you list the complete urls of your shared sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
