How awesome was Noah’s faith that he did the craziest thing in his generation – he obeyed God? Noah did everything exactly as God commanded him. Genesis 6:22 (NIrV)
Building an ark in the middle of nowhere, big enough for at least 2 of every animal to fit on it… I’ve heard the story over and over, and I’ve even read the story to Elias over and over – but two weeks ago we went to a family conference that taught the story of Noah to the kids again, and I started seeing the story with a new set of eyes…
Elias is still going through a “no crafting” phase – especially when there is something better going on. At the conference where he was to be learning about Noah and God, apparently the new toys in his classroom were too distracting… and he came home with a bag full of un-done crafts! …ehem… I apologize to his teachers that he was not very cooperative productive in their class, and I am thankful for all the work they put in to their lessons. Very thankful – because I will be able to use this bag-full of goodies over the next little while with Elias – where the toys are boring and mommy bribes convinces him to cooperate with snacks. Look at all the goodies in here!
What are some of your favorite Noah crafts? Here’s a post that Amanda wrote when she and Lydia were working on the letter R…

Thank you all for the encouragement and kind words about Elias’ potty training. This week went so much better than I ever imagined! This was definitely his time… and once I found the “currency,” things went so smoothly. What worked? A combo of stickers, TV time, and candy. And a promise of a big toy when the orange sheet got filled up. Only 2 spaces left! Now, on to the next step… p**py. Your prayers are coveted!

Yay Elias!
The cutest Noah thing I ever saw was actually something *I* could never do…but I’m sure you could just whip up…it was a basket with the animals inside. The basket was the ark (obviously) but the handle was a rainbow ribbon! Isn’t that cute?!
