It’s Monday

in me

We had a beautiful Father’s Day. Well, besides the vomiting. We ate lunch at The Horseradish Grill in Buckhead. Which is divine. I had shrimp and grits. I think I licked the plate in about 3 minutes. Delicious.

Then we went to the pool (where Lydia ALMOST let us let go of her) and Asa ate watermelon to his heart’s content. I made tacos for dinner (without a spice packet thingie!) and finished it off with some break-and-bake cookies. Happy day.

Lydia is going to a Vacation Bible School today. She will have so much fun. But this is the first time she’s ever done something every single day of the week. We’ll see how exhausted she is by Wednesday! Asa and I are also going. I wasn’t going to…but it’s about 20 minutes each way. And I started thinking about my promise to Asa…how we’d make church a central part of our life. This isn’t OUR church, but I didn’t want to be the mom who drops her kid off and says “have fun at church!”. I want my kids to know that ministry to OTHERS is as important as ministry to SELF.

Anyway, if the blog is a little slow this week, you’ll know why. (Hmmm…or maybe they’ll be so exhausted they’ll take some long naps!) But I DO have a great Top Ten {Tuesday} for tomorrow. It’s about weddings! Oh, how I love weddings! Start thinking about YOUR Top Ten list and link up with us tomorrow! It’s fun! Not to mention, I usually stumble or tweet your posts. So you should get some extra traffic and comment-love. I mean, if you’re into that kinda thing. Which I’m SO not!

Happy Monday!

Weddings? That should be interesting. The message at Midtown last night was about marriage. I’m getting hit from every direction… :(

It’s nice to meet another family that values religion as much as my family does! I’m very impressed with how involved you are with your children in church activities! Go Amanda!

I’m with sarah, I can’t believe you still went to lunch after that.

my grocery store has pulled all the break & bakes. e-coli or something. so if you have more vomiting, go to the ER. :)
