The Fire Bible is the coolest Bible EVER.
My father-in-law is a pastor and brought this one home for the kids after a pastor’s conference. Basically, it’s a regular old Bible with a fancy shmancy cover, lots of insights and devotions about the Holy Spirit and one more super cool feature…
It works with your iPad!
You use the camera app (and the Fire Bible app) on your iPad to view the picture at the beginning of each book and when you do BAM! a character or object pops up right on top of your Bible (well, on the screen, but it looks like he’s on your Bible)!
How incredibly cool is that?!
This one was telling us all about the book of Obadiah. You can see the kids are totally impressed. You can move the iPad all the way around the character and see him from every angle!
There’s a 3D version of baby Jesus in the manger, the walls of Jericho falling down, the temple and even the Armor of God. Some of these little characters are interactive and will tell you more when you click them.
Along with these amazing 3D images are trivia games, coloring pages and more activities to help kids learn about the books of the Bible.
It is seriously one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. And as I was poking around their website, look what I found! You can download and print the sample pages, use your iPad (or maybe any iOS device?) and try The Fire Bible out for yourself. You are about to be the coolest parent ever. You’re welcome.
Lydia and Asa have taken that Bible to the gym while I’m doing CrossFit, they spent hours showing it off to their cousin and are constantly saying, “I love that Bible! Mommy, can we do the Fire Bible?” There’s nothing I like better than hearing my kids get excited about studying the Bible!
Seriously. Don’t you want a Fire Bible?!

Amanda, I love the look of this – thanks so much for recommending it. I have bought it for my two sons aged 9 and 6. Looks like it will really appeal to them and I love the questions and learning points it raises as well as the funky cartoons and augmented stuff.
Can’t wait for it to arrive!
