An un-Easter Basket for YOU

easter gifts for kids

Happy Monday! I’ve had so much fun collecting these fun unEaster Basket gifts for you!

Ready for today’s fabulousness? I’ve found some awesome companies (really, ministries) that are offering their awesome products for you to win! These are the perfect gifts to put in an unEaster Basket or for anytime!

If you don’t get to do any Jesus-focused Easter activities this year (I know how time gets away from you and life gets busy!), I challenge you to make your kids’ Easter baskets full of gifts that will help your child grow in the Lord. Use it as an opportunity to plant God’s Word in their heart! And let your kids know, “This is a special basket this year. We celebrate Jesus’ death and resurrection today. I want you to grow up with Jesus. These gifts will help you do that. These presents will help you know Jesus more!”

Ready?

1. Baby Be Blessed

I don’t know where I first heard of  Baby Be Blessed but ever since I saw the first one, I have wanted one! (OK, wanted one for my kids!) These are the sweetest little dolls handmade by four mamas. You get to pick out the doll, the hair, the clothes AND the Bible verse they sew right to the doll! Tina, the founder says, “It is just simply giving back everything to Him! This includes all the gifts and talents the Holy Spirit has given to each of us. We are to use them to Glorify the Father through Jesus Christ.”

Isn’t that awesome? Just think about your little one holding onto a doll that says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart!” or “When I am afraid, I trust in you!”. I wish Lydia had one of these with a brave-scripture on it, when she was struggling with fear at bedtime!

2. Tabletop Truths

My kids love place mats. We have Princesses, Cars, a USA map and more. It is honestly amazing how much we talk about those little place mats. The kids genuinely look at them and think about which one they want to use at every meal.

Well, how perfect are Tabletop Truths’ Scripture place mats? All of them are made from affirming Scriptures perfect for your kids to meditate on (even unwittingly) as they eat! I love this Armor of God one for Asa. He is waay into Roman Soldiers right now (because of the guards at the tomb)…

They have boy and girl versions of almost every place mat. And even holiday versions like this one…

I love love love this! Just another way to put God’s Word in your house and in front of your kids! Lisa and Sara, the founders of Tabletop Truths have the same heart as me, “Our desire is to give you easy tools to incorporate God’s Word into your daily routine.” They are my new BFFs.

3. Hidden in My Heart: Scripture Lullabies

You know I love Seeds, the Rizers and anyone else that puts Scripture to music. My good friend, Teesha Laflin sent me an email after Children’s Pastors Conference and said, “Amanda! You must do something with Scripture Lullabies on your blog!”

And I’m so glad I’ve met them! Their albums (two of them!) are beautiful lullabies set to Scripture. I wish I’d had these when my kiddos were babies so I could have years of rocking them and swaddling them to these songs! Every song is beautiful, well-written and easy to remember!

3. What’s In The Bible?

Oh, my. I have pages and pages to write on What’s In The Bible. These videos are the brain child of Phil Vischer, creator of Veggie Tales. And it is full of puppets. So, we all know that they are my new very favorite videos in the world.

What’s in the Bible? was also a sponsor at Relevant (now Allume) this year and I got to know them a little bit—enough to know that I want to do something big with them here on Impress Your Kids. (Just wait till this summer, I’ve got a fun plan!)

Anywhoo–these videos are 1)hilarious  2)silly 3)sing-a-long-able and stuck-in-your-head-all-day-able 4)full of God’s Word. Your kids will learn the full story of the Bible as they travel through the Bible book by book, story by story to see the whole picture of the Bible. The goal of What’s in the Bible? is to bring Bible literacy to this generation–in a fun and completely crazy-fun way, of course!

So, go ahead, buy some Reese’s cups and a new Easter outfit for your kiddos, but don’t forget to slide something in there that will encourage their faith in Jesus, too!

My girls love their Baby Blessed Dolls, “Ellie Dolly” and “Ada Dolly.” They have been such a great way to share the Gospel with children at the park, playdates, etc.
I had never heard of Tabletop Truths but am so excited. My 7 year old son has been overtaken by the Holy Spirit in the past few weeks and has been called to baptism on Easter Sunday. He would love the Armor of God placemat.
Thank you so much for this and for all you do to help minister to all of us mommies who long to share the Gospel with their children in age-appropriate hands on way!!
