Handprint Crafts & Gifts: Top Ten {Tuesday}

Top Ten {Tuesday}

Lately, I’ve been thinking about Christmas gifts. I know, it’s like months away. But I can’t help it. It’s all Pinterest’s fault. I see little Christmas gifts pop up and say, “I need to do that!” I just love homemade gifts from kids and I’ve got 2 whole boards dedicated to Gifts and Christmas.

Anywhoo. In the middle of all these gifts is a nice selection of HANDPRINT crafts. You know, your kids’ handprint? Well, I’ve found everything from paper and paint to real gifts that bring a tear to your eye! Ready?

TOP TEN HANDPRINT CRAFTS AND GIFTS FOR YOU AND YOUR KIDS!

1. Handprint Calendar

How cute is this? Each month is a different cute handprint that corresponds with the month! I actually did this one year for the grandparents. This version was WAY better than mine!

2. Cloth & Canvas

Isn’t that gorgeous? I actually did this one last year, too. I did it with some of my son’s old baby blankets (how sweet is that?!) But it didn’t turn out as cute as this one. Still. I love it.

3. Book Inspired Handprints

How cute is that? Thing 1 and Thing 2?!! I love it.

4. Christmas Tree

I am TOTALLY doing this this year. I think I’m going to get the whole family in on it though and have everyone put their handprint on the tree. Wouldn’t that be a fun keepsake?

5. The Family “Photo”

I love this as a gift for Father’s or Mother’s Day, for Grandparents or just for some beautiful (sentimental) art in your home!

6. Ballerinas

I am also going to copy this one next year as a teacher gift for my daughter’s ballet teacher! I might not make a canvas of it, but even a card would be cute, don’t you think?

7. Different Mediums

I absolutely adore this one because it’s not JUST handprints. I love mixing it with some cute paper/fabric to make it cute enough to be REAL decor!

8. Fabric and Paper

This looks more like a craft I would have to do instead of the kids. But I love the fabric (or is that paper?) handprints. Plus, the wooden background makes me think of a camp craft. Might be fun to commemorate a year at camp, huh?

9. Animals

There are so many adorable animals! I can’t believe how creative people are to come up with so many different animals from one shape. You could make a whole zoo!

10. Paper Plate and Construction Paper

How could I leave this out? Reminds me of Super Sunny Day but also easy and versatile. You could do this to make a lion and more!

    I love so many of these! Especially that fabric tree and the family one. I really want to do those. I’ve got some old jammies that are too used to pass on but too full of memories to just toss that might help out. Although, it would be a pink tree! Ooo, and the ballerina for the teacher, brilliant! You’re also seriously tempting me to check out pinterest. I’ve avoided it so far but I feel myself falling. 🙂

      Don’t resist! It CAN be a black hole but it really is helpful for cataloging all the good ideas you find! If you need an invite, let me know!
