When I went to the (in)courage party at Blissdom, they were giving away tons of free cards. I got a whole pack of Encouragement/Hope cards. And I also picked up 2 romantical-type cards for my husband. When I read the first one I got tears in my eyes and knew I wanted to give it to him for Valentine’s Day. It says something like, “Have I told you lately that you are a good man? Well, you are.” So, I listed 10 (yes, 10) reasons I love him…10 reasons he IS a good man. {I promise I didn’t do this just for a blog post!}
And because I don’t think it should stay on a card here are…
THE TOP TEN REASONS I LOVE MY HUSBAND
1. He gets Asa up every morning.
This started when Lydia was a baby. He’d get her up when I needed to nurse in the middle of the night. It was kind of like his “turn”. Now he gets Asa up in the mornings. And brings him straight into the bed and goes back to sleep. But still. At least I don’t have to hike up the stairs every day.
2. He cleans the shower.
The other day he said to me, “The shower is moldy.” And I said, “Hmm. I didn’t notice.” The next morning I got in the shower and realized why I didn’t notice–I don’t wear my contacts in the shower. And since I can’t see past the end of my nose, I wouldn’t notice if a swamp had set up in our shower! So, now he cleans the shower when it starts getting funky.
3. He lets me lay on the couch and put my feet on his lap when we’re watching TV.
What can I say? I like putting my feet up.
4. He is always thinking of our future.
My husband is the master of long-term goals. He thinks of so many strategies to sell-the-car-and-buy-this-then-sell-that-and-make-money-here. Then start-this-business-and-give-this-away. He never stops asking what will happen in 10 years if we do this today? He always has his eye on our kids’ college, our empty nest and retirement.
5.
6. He lights up when he’s with the kids.
*swoon*
7. He works hard for our family.
He owns 2 businesses and can be seen regularly in front of a computer, driving around Atlanta, standing on a roof or fixing someone’s basement. He’s a hard worker.
8. He thinks my blog is famous.
He always says, “Why don’t you just go to some big company and ask them to put an ad on your site?! Why wouldn’t they want your traffic?!” {He’s nice. But naive.}
9. He tells me I’m beautiful.
*blush*
10. He loves me.
Sometimes I look at the attitudes and yucky-ness inside of me and I’m just so thankful that he loves me.

Oh Amanda that is beautiful! I love to know that someone out there has a great marriage even if I NEVER did! Maybe some day I will find a perfect match for myself (and my little kiddies) but the best thing is to be happy in whatever we have daily. That photo is precious and speaks thousands of words. So fun. Thanks for sharing π

What a sweet post and a GREAT picture! I can totally relate to #10–I wonder often why my husband even bothers. I can act so grumpy, so mean when I’m tired and overwhelmed. But he just loves me, anyway, never stooping to my level.
And I just saw your previous post–congrats to Lydia and you!

I really love this. I recently wrote a similar “admiration” post about my husband.
Also – whoever wrote the text to that greeting card nailed it. Short, simple, uplifting. “Have I told you lately that you are a good man? Well, you are.β

Thanks for sharing your ideas here. The other issue is that when a problem takes place with a personal computer motherboard, folks should not consider the risk of repairing the item themselves for if it is not done right it can lead to irreparable damage to the complete laptop. It is usually safe to approach the dealer of that laptop for any repair of motherboard. They have got technicians who definitely have an experience in dealing with laptop computer motherboard troubles and can get the right analysis and accomplish repairs.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

I do not create many remarks, but i did some searching and wound up here I love my Husband: Top Ten Tuesday | ohamanda.com. And I do have a few questions for you if it’s allright. Could it be only me or does it give the impression like a few of the responses come across like coming from brain dead folks? π And, if you are writing on other sites, I would like to follow anything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list of all of all your communal pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
