My Wedding Shower. 1951.
I know this is kind of a weird picture. Its actual size is only about 2 inches square. But I’ve always liked it. It’s a picture of Grandma’s wedding shower–the centerpiece, I guess? It’s romantic that she kept the picture so long. And that she even took the picture to begin with.
The other thing that I like about this picture is that I have a glass serving platter that Grandma received as a gift at that shower. When I hold that platter and think of this picture, it makes me feel like I am really there experiencing a 21 year old Grandma at her wedding shower. It’s an indescribable link to her and to our past.

Amanda, that’s really cool! I feel like we are so separated from our older generations here in America (for the most part), which I think is sad.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
