Have you ever gathered together with other parents, and spent a dedicated amount of time in prayer specifically for your children? I haven’t, but I’m ready to start.
In The Power of a Praying® Parent 
When? Once or twice a year possibly on a Saturday when both parents can be present.
Where? In your home or a designated meeting place where you would have up to six hours to spend in prayer.
How? Gather and pray for no more than 12 children in a given group otherwise it gets too long. Make a goal of spending 10 minutes sharing specific requests with the group and another 20 minutes of solid prayer time for each child. (I would recommend even setting a timer to keep things on track.)
Suggested time frame: 2:00-5:00pm pray, 5-5:30dinner break, 5:30-8:30pm prayer. You can all bring food or order out.
Childcare: Hire teenagers or others to care for the children in a separate room so the adults can pray in private.
Order of Requests: Pray for the first born of each family followed by the second born of each family and continue in that fashion. If you pray for all the children in one family first that family may feel as though they do not need to stay the rest of the time. The goal is to have all the parents praying for all the children.
Call the Child In: After praying for private or sensitive matters for the child, call the child in and ask them for their requests and then pray for those as well as for their health, protection, guidance, and development of gifts.
We will probably never know until heaven just how our prayers and these corporate prayers positively impacted our children’s lives, but we know God promises to hear them and that Jesus will intercede on our behalf. He tells us that we may come boldly!
Mini Group: I don’t think it will work for me to organize a group exactly like the one mentioned above right now, but I am going to contact 2-3 moms that I know and try to get together with them.

That’s a really cool idea! I’ve taken a parenting class where we all would pray for the children represented, but I’ve never thought about setting aside a specific time for a prayer meeting just for the children.

The book has really changed the way I pray. I have a specific list I pray with a friend once a week that is so encouraging to me!

I think this is an awesome idea. I’m going to try it. The ladies at my church and I meet for all kinds of occasions but not for prayer meetings I would love to start this once a month! Thank you, all glory goes to God:)
