I’m not really sure where I’m heading with all of the Noah craft items that we have, but two verses continue to stick in my head…
…Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. Genesis 6:8 (NIrV)
Noah did everything exactly as God commanded him. Genesis 6:22 (NIrV)
I’m going to continue on with these crafts and activities with Elias while I mull over these verses. I know what they mean to me, but how can I convey these to him in a way that will stick with him? hmmm…
…so the next thing that caught Elias’s attention was this amazing Noah’s ark sticker sheet. Isn’t this great? We had a really fun time matching up the animals two by two, deciding which one goes where….
…and I started to think about how we could do this on our own without one of these wonderful sticker sheets. So here’s our giant expanded version:
We used some butcher paper, taped it to the wall, and got busy with crayons (Elias and Donovan) and markers (me). I also cut out a little ark, and we used some different stickers from a really cute sticker pad that we had. See?
This was a fun way to spend some time with the boys – Donovan really got into coloring on the wall (note to self: keep crayons far far away from that child unless supervised!) and Elias had a great time with the stickers and tape, and we all talked about Noah’s story again.
