my aunts & my mom
Mama sent me this picture today. Isn’t it cute? It looks like a perfect summer day–shorts, fishing, suckers and hanging out with the family! It’s funny because my aunts look EXACTLY the same to me…well, with cuter hair and tad bigger. But my mom? I don’t think that looks like her at all. In fact, this is the pic on her twitter profile and I didn’t even recognize her!
UPDATE: Mama just emailed me about the picture. Here’s what she says…
We’re at Grandma and Grandpa’s…standing in the side yard. I don’t particularly remember that day- but the only place I ever remember fishing was out at the river by Daddy’s old farm. I can’t think of the name of the river right this second- but you and I got out of the car and took pictures there last year. The suckers we have were the kind they used to always give kids at the bank when I was little- so unless my grandma just happened to have that kind of sucker- I wonder if we didn’t stop at the bank that day too?? I think Laurie is about 2, Sheila is about 5 and I’m about 7.
