Yeah, people decorating their yards with tombstones bearing their kids’ names and ghouls hanging from trees—I don’t get into it. But costumes? Oh, baby.
I wish my dh would dress up with me. It’s kinda lame to dress up by yourself (not that I haven’t done it, mind you). When my brother and I were little we always dressed up as couples. One of my faves was a King and Queen when we were in High School. My mom made the costumes and mine had a huge cape with fur on it. Oh, I’d still wear it now. *sigh* My least fave? Aladdin and Jasmine. I didn’t feel weird about being so scantily clad until I got into public. (I was actually at church!) Then I realized I was basically wearing a teal bra in front of everyone. YIKES.
Anyway, I cannot cannot wait until Friday because Lydia and Asa are dressing up as a couple! Should I tell you? Or do you want to wait for the picture?! Hmmm….I think I’ll wait. You’re going to love it!
So, are you dressing up?

I’ve been meaning to tell you about this for days…
Remember when I met the President of UNICEF USA? (feel free to be impressed now.) Well, she sent an email about Trick or Treat for UNICEF. I thought you might want to check out their website.
It’s got tons of cool stuff including a Halloween Party Kit and even a facebook group! And you can donate $5 via your cell phone by texting the word “TOT” to 864233 (“UNICEF”). Isn’t that cool? Please go check UNICEF’s Trick or Treat site out!

I wish my husband would dress up with me too! Especially since we were invited to a super posh party downtown-which we are not going to, because he won’t dress up:(
Planning on wearing a Halloween t-shirt probably to work on Friday, then out trick-or-treating with Moose.

I freaking love Halloween! I keep telling Tim when we have the space I am going to throw a huge Halloween bash. I don’t get into the morbid and creepy aspects of it, but it’s such a fun holiday! Conner’s going to be a baseball player (big surprise) – Tim got this crazy idea that he should be the one to pick out his costume, not mom. Ridiculous! I wanted him to be an elephant and Max to be a peanut 😉

I love costumes and dressing up… and Halloween used to be huge at our house. But Josh and I decided not to do Halloween with the kids – he never did Halloween growing up. It’s getting harder now, b/c Elias is seeing things about it everywhere, and people keep asking him what he’s going to be for halloween…

I’m with you. Those tombstones are just eery. Not in a good way either.
Can’t wait to see the costumes, Lydia was such a cute chef last year.
Izzy is little red riding hood and I’m making matt be the big bad wolf complete with a granny gown and shower cap for trunk or treat. I don’t think I’ll dress up… can’t think of a third thing.

At least you don’t have neighbors that have a skeleton hanging out of the upstairs window holding a noose with a dead body attached to it?!
You think I’m making this up??
I can’t wait to see Asa and Lydia! I wanted Mandi to do that with Megan and Evan.

Oh, I LOVE dressing up, but I am with you – no creepy stuff. My sister-in-law and I would always dress up (pre-kids). One year she was mac ‘n cheese and I was spaghetti and meatballs. Another year we were a pair of fuzzy pink dice THAT ATTACHED! Another year we were Juicy Juice boxes, complete with bendable straws. It became a contest to see what we could make out of a cardboard box. The neighborhood would come by to see what we were. Too fun! Then when we had kids it was even better – one year my nephew was BamBam and Livi was Pebbles. I’ll send pictures of this year – Josh is actually participating…sort of.

I love love love dressing up, but I feel like such a geek doing it by myself. When I was like 22 I went trick or treating by myself until people started getting irritated by the old kid.
Why are these things only reserved for the little kids!!! They certainly don’t appreciate the candy like we do!

I won’t spill the secret on what the kids are dressing up as but I will say that it is a really cute idea! I hope you post a picture of them so I can see how they look together.

Oh, I love costumes ESPECIALLY couple costumes. I just couldn’t get my act together this year. My costumes (if you can really call them that) are already on my FB page, since we already had Trunk-or-Treat at church.
Why no pictures of you and your bro?
