Girl, I had one come out on Sunday. Best decision. I felt like it was silly to call one because what could she possibly do (and it sounded like a crock to me- almost as worthwhile as like a hypnotherapist). She was a miracle worker though. I’m saying a quick prayer right now that Asa starts nursing like a champ.
I’m sorry you and Asa are having a rough time of the breast feeding. I hope the lactation consultant was able to help.
Dawnsays
We had our 3rd child in March, she is now 6 months old. During the entire pregnancy, I never once worried about breastfeeding. Why should I? I’d done it 2 times before for over 1 1/2 years with each child. Boy was I WRONG! It is different with every child, and quite painful on your poor nipples when they’re first adjusting to it again. For the 1st whole month with this one, I almost cried every single time she latched on. Then one day she magically got the hang of it, or my nipples became hard as steel lol, and it stopped hurting altogether. I REALLY hope the LC helps you and Asa get the hang of this, you are not doing ANYTHING wrong! I just wish I had thought to consult one, you smart momma. Good luck!
Oh, honey, I feel for you. How did it go? I saw two LCs after we came home from the hospital — weeks after. This is hard. I’d really love to know how it went. Prayers and blessings….
I’m thinking of you. I remember those days – I hope the LC can help.
I hope everything goes well, praying your little pirate get the hang of things soon!

LCs can be a god-send, no doubt.
