I like things to be clean. I do. It’s the cleaning part I don’t like.
Today I decided to break down and CLEAN the bathrooms. Not just wipe the counters or rinse out the tub. I’m talking CLEANING.
It ended up taking me about an hour to clean both bathrooms. I cleaned behind the toilets. I wiped the grime from around the faucets. I even dusted all the ridiculous shelves and strange nooks and crannies Boris put in for us. I had at least 5 different cleaners out, used 10 washcloths and about 5 clorox wipes.
So, the question is…
WAS IT WORTH IT?
Was that hour worth the beautiful sparkling bathrooms?
The jury is still out.
If you’re debating on the worthiness of a clean house bathroom area, here’s some clean-ish sites I ran across today…
Clutter Control Freak Blog (do I really want to be a clean FREAK?)
Creative Organizing (this one’s actually kinda cute…)
Organizing Junkie (my menu plan monday hero…)
Got any other cleaning stuff to share? Tips? Blogs? Websites? Reasons NOT to do it?!

I’m right there with you!!! My reason NOT too is that I just did the same thing on Saturday of last week & by today the shines already gone & I need to do it all over again!! That’s what I hate about cleaning – it’s like the laundry – absolutely never ending!!

My reason NOT to clean is that when I’m home and have free time, I’m usually working. And when I have free-free time, I want to spend it with my kids. NOT CLEANING. So, I clean as I go and rarely do the deep cleaning, but oh well. You can only do so many things in a day. I don’t live in filth but I am not a freak about it, either. There are too many other important things to worry about. But when I do clean-clean, I spend about that amount of time in a bathroom. But that’s usually just when people come over. I probably sound like a dirty person. I swear I am not. 🙂

I clean as I go, too. I deep clean when I feel inspired or when I read an article about germs. 😉 Method (the brand you can buy at Target) has some GREAT bathroom cleaning supplies – flushable surface wipes, a yummy-smell shower spray, a great tile cleaner… Those help me clean as I go. And I clean the shower while I’m in it. I’ll get the shower going and then step in a do a quick scrub down, then take my shower. This works best when I have my contacts in!

I think it’s worth it. It always makes me feel productive to deep clean. sad huh?

I always do feel better once things are clean but then I stress about how fast it’s going to go down hill again. And the fact that my husband shaves like a crazy man every day AND I have a 4-year old boy who now likes to do #1 standing up, these things do not help the stress level. At. All.
