Oh Bay-Bee!

Remember the swap bee and I are hosting? I personally wrote every swapper’s name on a piece of paper and then drew the swapping partners. And who did I get? No, not bee. Jodi, my messageboard mama! How fun! Well, Jodi was indeed fun because I got my gifts on Thursday (my birthday)!

LOOK WHAT I GOT!

We had to send 3 items: a must-have, a keepsake-y and something wearable.

My must-have is the Baby Name Wizard book. Jodi is the queen of baby names (her kids’ names are Pippa, Romilly and Beatrix for goodness sakes!), so this is the perfect must-have from her. I’ve been reading it today and it is a very cool book! (So far? Lincoln or Bennett.)

My wearable are these ADORABLE shirts she made! One for Lydia (oh, i’m cute!) one one for baby boy (oh, i’m cute, too!). Do you get it? Oh! As in Oh Amanda! How incredibly thoughtful!

Then the keepsake-y: A panda. A handmade sock panda. Do you love it? Oh, I get misty-eyed looking at it!

Thank you a million times, Jodi. I’m so glad this was my first baby gift! I hope you and Bea like your gifts as much!

So, what do you think? Another swap? What should this one be about?

hey, i’m gonna let the book giveaway go on thru today…

Those really are awesome! I need to send you my list of boy names. I was really sad not to be able to use them. Of course, you probably won’t think they’re as cool as I do. I had a couple of family names that I LURVED, but I guess you don’t want your boy to grow up and ask where you got his name from and you have to say “Oh, there was this chick whose blog I read. It was her Mema’s maiden name.”

    Those are perfect gifts!
Are you gonna show us what you sent?

Such an adorable panda! You seemed to have gotten a perfect SWAP gift.

For the next swap – can you do something fun for those of us who don’t have wee little kiddos? (Mine are far to large – at ages 8 and 6.)

A Kitchen SWAP? I would love a box of cool kitchen stuff. A quiet time SWAP?

This looked so fun, and I’m sad I didn’t get to participate.

What AWESOME gifts. I wanna play too, so the next swap should move up an age group or two, lol.

The shirt/onsie are so neat! She did a great job of personalizing her gift for you.

Next swap….I soooo want to be a part of it the next go ’round. Maybe a summer swap (I’m thinking flip flops and nail polish, or something summery like that). I’m open as long as it’s not ‘baby’ since I’m soooo done with that stage of my life. 🙂

Oh, and Lincoln or Bennett…..I’d go with Lincoln. He could be your little ‘Link’! 🙂

Wonderful gifts! I especially love the sock panda.

I would love to be in another swap, but wasn’t the cut-off age 1 year? My little one will be a year old in 12 days! Ack! Twelve days!

My funds were short this past month, hence my non-participation.

Those shirst are so cute! And a sock panda? Love it!

I participated in the swap too and will post my goodies later in the week. It was fun!

    Lovin’ those matching shirts!!!

I definitely will partake in the next swap if I qualify! 🙂 Trying to think of some ideas . . . not sure . . . but maybe it could be something either for gardening girls, summer food makin’, or beach bathin’ 🙂

Shucks, I’m so glad you liked everything! This post totally made my day 🙂 I got your package today and felt well and truly spoiled rotten – I will blog about it all soon, I promise!

I *heart* Bennett! It’s our new youth-pastor-to-be’s name and I’ve been crushing on it (the name, that is – he’s way too young and I’m way too into my dh) ever since he came to our church. Excellent choice! Lincoln is great too, but Bennett… ahh…

Currently the only reason I have a cloud storage account is due to the unlimited music storage. Otherwise I really do not use it, as I am not going to waste all week recreating folders for my files. Also I am unhappy that the Kindle Fire really does not interact with the cloud store items as I have a few photos on there that it does not see.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
