A Piece of Wordless Wednesday

My grandmother & unknown male. 1943.

I think Grandma was born in 1930. That’d make her 13. She looks older than that, don’t you think? Of course 13 year olds in 1943 were a little different than 13 year olds are now.

Look at the guy’s outfit (so dashing!), their pose, the bike, the guy in the back working on the house and looking at the camera! This just looks like a little slice of a fun day.

I wonder if this is the little town Grandma grew up in? My mom and I got to walk around it when we were in Minnesota this year.

I’ve been enjoying these old photos! She certainly looks much older than 13, though – 17 or 18 maybe . . .

Most assuredly a very fun photo! I agree she does look older than 13 but you never know. Hmmm, now I need to start digging out some of my family photos of yesteryear and see what I can find!

    Happy WW!

the way you wrote “unknown male” cracks me up. I’m not sure why as it is a completely legitimate way of describing him!

As always, love seeing your B&W’s.

    happy wednesday

Great picture, it reminds me of one I’ve seen of my mother in a row of her girlfriends… they all had their jeans rolled up and look so tough 🙂 She’s so not tough btw.
    Happy Wednesday!

What a fun pic! That pose is awfully “familiar” for being an “unknown male!”

And yes, she does look older than 13.

When my grandfather died last year, my grandmother and I went through some of her pics, and I brought home several like this. It’s priceless.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
