Be Excellent To One Another…

If you know the rest of that quote, you and I are destined to be great friends! When I was brainstorming throwing together this post for the 5m4m’s Ultimate Blog Party, this was the first party quote that came to mind. Ahh, Ted “Theodore” Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esq. Those were the good old days before Keanu could dodge bullets.***

If you made it past that first totally random paragraph, yay! Welcome to my Blog Party! At last year’s party I was a newbie blogger and met so many fun friends. I have been really looking forward to this party but just haven’t been able to think of that awesomely creative idea to party with.

I thought about just giving a nice personal intro with a recipe. But I’ve hit my quota for recipes this year. And really a “30 year old sahm” just about covers my bio.

Then I thought about showing pictures of me and my 2 year old, but honestly, just scroll down a few times and you’ll see more than you ever wanted.

Maybe I could do a giveaway…you know, bribe people to love me. But, after giving away a deceased teddy bear last week and a panda finger puppet the week before, I’m just all out of good prizes.

A giant carnival, meme or wordless-wednesday-type-thingie could be fun. But honestly, who has time to look through another Mr. Linky?

Then I got thoughtful and decided to write something deeply profound (are those synonyms?) or maybe even something highly controversial! But, nah, I’m not really feeling it.

Then inspiration hit!

(uh, inspiration? that was your cue! you’re supposed to hit me now!)

Ahem, well.

What I meant to say was that inspiration was still evading me, so I began to pray. I decided to fast all my meals until Friday morning (good thing I already ate dinner!). Then I realized, I’m not really all that super-spiritual.

Come on, now. Think, think, think. What do all the cool bloggers do? What would make me subscribe to a blog’s feed? What would make me stick around and click on a blogger’s about me page? What amazing thing would I have to read to leave an actual comment?

I have no idea. What’s going on at your party?

***

***

Still don’t know the end to my title quote? It’s “party on, dude!”, of course!

Any other favorite Bill & Ted lines you’d like to share? This one‘s mine.

***

***

Oh, and did you see the prizes? Well, there are about 50 that I’d like…but let’s see, my top 3:

37: moby wrap (for my new baby in October!)

20: $50 to paperliciious (because I *heart* all things paper)

117: $25 Target (because I really *heart* Target)

And if those are already taken well, any of these will do:

22
34
39
49
55
58
59
60
70
84
96
11

(Is that just greedy, or what?!)

Thank you Janice & Susan for hosting this rockin’ party!

You got my to add you to my reader. I even made my hubby listen while I read him your post. You don’t understand – this mean I dragged him away from Winston Churchill’s “History of the English Speaking Peoples”. Quite a accomplishment! We are partying here in the Bahamas too – although I know Churchill doesn’t sound like much of a party.

Clever linkage hiding in there, too. I’ll have to remember that for the next party. πŸ™‚
