I went shopping today at my favorite store, Tar-jay. I was there, of course, to go Christmas shopping. It is, after all a mere 3 days away. THREE DAYS.
Well, as I was buying candy canes, scarves and santa hats, I also found some Valentines and a swim suit.
Let me repeat myself: VALENTINES and SWIM SUITS!!
WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!
I know!!!!!! I went into Hobby Lobby yesterday to get some baskets and Christmas tins…they were almost gone, and in their place was Valentine stuff!!! WHAT? Who in the world is shopping for their Valentine decorations the weekend before Christmas!!!!
As for the swimsuits, down here in Florida, that wouldn’t be unreasonable. Less than two weeks ago, we saw college kids sunbathing by the lake right before finals. 🙂
WHAT? UGH. It makes you feel very manipulated when they push the next holiday’s stuff so early huh?
I’m cleaning today like a mad woman, company begins arriving at 8 p.m., Amanda’s car is coming with the first group. She is beside herself with excitement! I would be too!

Yup, just last night we were at Michaels (my home away from Tar-jay) and they had Valentines candy.
I also noticed the Valentine’s clothes for the wee ones when I was out on Friday. Craazzzeee!!!
Same thing in Joann’s! They have a whole row of Valentine’s Day stuff.
YES! I saw Valentines at AC Moore yesterday. Good GRIEF!
I know! I was shopping for a Christmas outfit at probably that very same (not super) Target and I was stunned by the bathing suits. What???? I needed a Christmas outfit!
