Bosom Buddy

There are famous best friends on tv, movies and throughout literature. Bert & Ernie. Abbot & Costello. Thelma & Louise. Bill & Ted. But one of my favorites is Anne Shirley & Diana Barry from Anne of Green Gables. They are kindred spirits and bosom friends. I love those two phrases. They somehow capture the real emotion and depth of a true friend.

My best friend Staci turned 31 today. So, in her honor, I’m quoting Anne to Diana,

“And then I met you. You don’t know what your friendship meant to me. I want to thank you here and now, dear, for the warm and true affection you’ve always given me.”

I love you, Stace. I pray this is your best year ever!

(Staci, a random troll & me at the World’s Fair. 1982.)

Too Cute … Kristen’s comment made me laugh so hard … it’s so true. That is a SOOOOO Staci & sooo Amanda pose!!!! By her expression, I’m guessing it was Staci’s idea to stand next to the ‘random troll’!!!
