Do you just love those names? Monk & Neagle? I mean, who has last names like that? When you have a cool name it automatically means you’re going to be famous. *sigh* Why didn’t my mom name me Cher? or Marilyn Monroe? What a cool blog name that would be, “Oh Marilyn!”
Anyway, the point of my post was not to lament my top ten name (which in fact, I really adore), but to remind you that Monk & Neagle’s cd came out today (or yesterday, I can’t remember). About 3million years ago, I got a free one because, are you ready for this? M&N’s music label was giving away cds to bloggers w/at least 50 unique visitors a day. And I actually have at least 50 different people look at my blog EVERY DAY! (I know what you’re thinking, I’m shocked and amazed myself!)
So, in all honesty, I’ve only listened to it a few times. Lydia kinda controls the ipod when we’re alone. Then when Les is home he controls it. But I just read boomama’s interview with them (here and here) and it just made me really like them! They are Christian guys who like church. They both give their youth pastors credit for influencing them toward the Lord and they love their wives. How can you not like these guys? Anyway, stop by their site, your local cd bookstore type place or even itunes to hear what they have to sing say.
I love acoustic music. They sound really cool.
I love to hear behind the music stories of bands and singers. They play one of their songs on the radio and it is pretty good. I will have to check out the rest!

Take heart Amanda! Even Marilyn Monroe’s mother didn’t name her Marilyn Monroe, and with a name so uncommon I have to spell it EVERY STINKING TIME (sometimes twice) I’m still not famous.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
