This is my grandmother (left) when she was 11 months old. 1931.
I don’t know who the little boy is or where they are.
Notice the barn/house in the background and the huge pile of firewood.
I also like that no once seems to notice a giant rooster running through the picture.
On second thought, maybe they were trying to get the rooster in the picture?
I know there is more to this picture because on the back there is tons of writing. However, it looks like it was also glued into a scrapbook so black paper is stuck to the back! I feel like I’m missing out on a big secret!
wow–that picture is definitely a treasure!!
Love old pictures!
I’m lovin’ the chicken! L-O-V-I-N-G I-T!

Very nice picture! It always drives me crazy, looking at old family photos & not being able to find out the story behind them.

I don’t think that is a rooster but the picture is very cool. I especially like the barn.
OH I love these photos!
LOL Love the pic. I wonder what the kids are thinking as the rooster just struts into the photo LOL
Thanks for sharing! Happy WW! I hope you’ll come visit mine at Coming to a Nursery Near You and Reflections by Dawn – I couldn’t decide on a photo this week, so I did two! LOL

What a great old picture! I think the rooster was on purpose.

What great old photo. Wish I had more from my grandmother’s childhood. Nothing enlightens about family history more than a well placed snapshot.
How darling!

I love all your old family photos!
That really is fantastic. I think the rooster was a prop.
