I love 24. I have an honest to goodness crush on Jack Bauer. Not Keifer. Heck, no. But, Jack? Oh, yeah.
But this season I’m…disappointed. There I said it, I’m disappointed in Jack! This season already had a lot to prove since apparently everyone from the last season is dead except Jack, Chloe and Buchanan. But every week we’re getting cheesier (more cheesy?) plots, less character development and barely any Jack time!
Last night Jack finds out the Chinese want to get a circuit board (or something) from a nuke in exchange for Jack’s old flame, Audrey. And Jack agrees. Jack would never agree to something like that! Remember Chase? Remember Curtis? Remember the 50 other guys Jack has killed this morning?
We’ve had 18 hours of chasing a silly suitcase bomb around and now we’re finally getting to Jack tearing up the entire Chinese government (which is what I’ve been waiting for since they carted him off last season) and suddenly he’s going to trade a government secret for a girlfriend he hasn’t seen in 2 years?!
Please, Jack, prove to me that I’m wrong. Make the next 6 hours worth Wayne Palmer’s coma, President Logan’s stabbing, Morris’ breakdown, Milo’s jealousy, your family’s freakishness and Doyle’s idiocy. And please, please call your daughter, Kim. Please!
Oh, but I will leave you with this. Because, well, it’s true:

I didn’t read this blog except for the first few lines and then I realized you were going to talk about what has happened recently. I just started watching Season 6. I have a crush on Jack too. But, I also had a crush on Curtis and am crushed that he’s gone. I’ve heard that a lot of people are disappointed with 24 this season. So far it’s been good.
You know, I agree. I only watched it sporadically last night because I was just so stinkin’ disappointed in the chaos. I know, I know, the show’s been built around 24 hours of chaos, but, geez, when the Vice President stepped into office and shut down Jack’s attempt, I just turned the volume off and continued reading my current novel. And when Buchannan just clicked off on it like it was no big deal, I felt betrayed. And, yeah, I know Jack was going to do something horrendously difficult with the circuit, but, come on, isn’t that what he does? As much as he’s done for the country and no one can trust him to do the right thing? I’m disappointed.
I have not seen the show and know if I started watching it, I’d be hooked. I have a friend and a mil who are both HUUUUUGE fans. Good luck figuring him out! 🙂
I think the plot is FINALLY getting good! I mean, I feel like we’ve wasted the whole first half of this day chasing these dumb nukes (which by the way…how many seasons have we had that same plot?) I’m ready for a little lovey-dovey. I like Jack and Audrey together. I guess there’s only so many terroristic plots you can come up with. Good or bad, though…I just can’t get enough Jack 🙂
I’m with you. I couldn’t even watch Monday, ’cause now he’s going girl crazy??? I don’t know….
