It is time, ooooooh! (Anyone remember that movie?)

Truth in the Tinsel: An Advent Experience for Little Hands is here! The website is up, the facebook page is full of fans (almost 900 Thanksgiving night!) and now you can have it in your own little hands–or at least on your computer!

My friend, Jess send me a direct message on twitter last night and said she was barfing with excitement over the ebook. And I kinda feel that same way. Every morning for the past week I’ve woken up with butterflies in my stomach thinking about the book. Wondering if it will sell, if people will like it as much as I think they will and if anyone will actually stick with it for 24 days!

The first person I read the book to was my mom. I read it out loud to her and when I got to Day 24, I started to cry. I just imagined a family making it through to that day and having a conversation about Jesus coming to earth as a baby so He could die on a cross,

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Philippians 2:6-8

This December is more than just a crazy month of parties and gifts. It’s a month we can focus on the gift of Jesus. On God pouring Himself into human form. The God-man coming to earth as a baby because He loved us. And then dying for us while we were still sinners.

Will you join me in leveraging the excitement of December to impress the story of Jesus birth on your kids’ heart? Buy Truth in the Tinsel and join our Facebook challenge–we’ll keep each other accountable, update pics of our crafts (and even our fails), encourage one another with tips and conversation!

  2. Oh, thank you, Amanda! I have just purchased a copy of the eBook and I am EXCITED!! This is just the kind of thing I have been looking for to use with my tribe. To be honest, I am not sure if I will use all the crafts, but it is a fantastic way to follow the scriptures. I love the way the crafts provide a nice meditation, too.

  3. Congratulations, Amanda! My kids are a little too old for this kind of thing, but I wanted you to know that I’m so excited for you.

  6. Congratulations, Amanda! I LOVE the book! LOVE IT! My kids are a little older(13, 10, 8, 4), but they’re doing it anyway. 🙂 We home school, so we can always fit-in an awesome devotional, and my tree is all homemade so more homemade will be wonderful! God bless you and your family this Christmas season!

    • Thanks as far as something your prticamaolon on this blog. From my exclusive trial, uncountable times softening upward a photograph might supply the photography with an amount of an inventive flare. Every now how, that unstarched haze isn’t exactly what you had in concentration and can normally kill an under other circumstances actual snapshot, especially if you foretaste enlarging the piece.

  9. We love our Kindle Fire, but as many people have said it has some drawbacks when compared to the iPad, especially on size and power. But I’m impressed with the new specs of the Kindle Fire 2 with the 10inch screen. Some of the new specs are at and I think they will be opening up pre-orders soon.

  10. Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
