Why I Didn’t Have Time To Post Today

in disney

I leave for Disney World on Friday.

While I am at Disney World I will be in a photo shoot.

Yes, they will be taking pictures of my face for their website.

So, today I got a facial.

Are you so jealous?

I would be.

Black Friday, Cyber Monday and My Sleep Schedule

by oh amanda on November 27, 2009

in affiliate

**updated with etsy deals!**

I was invited to go to the outlet mall at midnight. Yes, stay up all night after Thanksgiving and be at the outlet mall at midnight for them to open so I can beat down 458,385 other people to get a good deal on some baby pajamas. I just don’t have that kind of shopping prowess. Staci and Becky will probably get all their Christmas shopping done and get some VERY good people watching in. But I just couldn’t do it.

Instead I want to sit on the computer and Christmas shop online. I want to sip hot chocolate from my Dolce Gusto (have I told you about this yet?) and have someone deliver the gift to my doorstep. And guess what? I’ve already bought EIGHT Christmas presents online. I know. I’m impressed at myself, too.

Anyway, in case you’re like me and sitting at home on Friday, I thought I’d share some deals that were delivered to my inbox. I’m an affiliate with several companies. I put text ads or banner ads on my blog and if someone (ie. you) clicks through to their site, I get a percentage of that sale. I only pick companies I like or talk about regularly. (Uhm, I wasn’t accepted into the M&M affiliate program. Can you believe that?)

So, get your mouse ready and start clickin’ because these are some good deals:

SIGNING TIME (one of my all-time favorite companies/organizations EVER)

:: :: ::

MOM4LIFE (an amazing mom & baby store owned by the fabulous & inspiring Heather)

  • 10% off Resa Sibling shirts (oh, I wish I had these when Asa was born!)
  • Plus, if you join their facebook page, you can get “deep discounts”!

:: :: ::

NEST FAMILY (a high-quality faith-based entertainment company)

:: :: ::

C28(Favorite Christian clothing company. Yep. For real.)

Free Shipping for You!

:: :: ::

AMAZON (maybe you’ve heard of them?)

  • Les and I are actually both on our laptops now looking through the bookoos of Black Friday deals. He’s trying to get a new bluetooth headset. He climbs roofs for a living and right now he’ll answer his phone while he’s on top of a roof. This cannot be healthy for him. (He’s looking at the Plantronics Discovery 925 which also comes in purple. But he says he’d rather have black. What-EVER.) I am looking at the kids books and movies.

:: :: ::

MOO (I’m not an affiliate, I just love Moo photo products. And they send me good discounts ALL the time!)

  • Free shipping when you spend $40 with coupon code: ASU34G

:: :: ::

ETSY (Not an affiliate here, either. *sniff*)

I just learned from Pamperking Beki that if you search “etsyholidaysale” or “etsyfreeshipping”, then refine the search results to the left you can find ALL SORTS OF DEALS. (I already bought some Christmas presents from Pampering Beki…wonder who they could be for?)

So, what is the best Black Friday deal you snagged?

Top Ten {Tuesday}: Christmas Albums You Probably Don’t Own (But Should)

November 23, 2009 top ten tuesday

We don’t break out the Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. My husband collects Christmas albums so it’s all I can do to refrain him from starting the Christmas caroling on Halloween. However, the other day my husband took Lydia to the store. When they got back they confessed to their disobedience: THEY LISTENED TO CHRISTMAS [...]

Jesus’ Genealogy: A Christmas Story

November 23, 2009 Bible

Have you ever heard of Matthew? Like Matthew, Mark & Luke? Saint Matthew? He wrote an account of Jesus’ life. And the way he started this account was with a genealogy. Yeah, those lists of families that bore people away from the Bible. Well, this genealogy is worth reading. Usually genealogies are a list of [...]
