Use Kid’s Valentines As Greeting Cards!

I have always loved valentines. When I was little they had perforated edges and tissue paper thin envelopes. Now they come with shiny stickers and holographic words, but still they are delectable. Tiny little cards with yummy illustrations.

The day after Valentine’s Day I always hit up Walgreen’s or whoever has everything for 75% off. Then I look at the valentines to see which ones do NOT have the word “Valentine” on them. Lots of them are pretty non-lovey-dove and say stuff about being best friends or give sweet compliments.

Then I use them as fun greeting cards the rest of the year…

  • fill an envelope with five or six and then mail for a fun treat
  • drop in your kids’ lunch
  • hide in your hubby’s coat pocket or briefcase
  • tape to your kids’ mirror as a special surprise if you have to leave while they’re still asleep
  • use as a notecard when dropping off food or returning something to a friend
  • use as a bag tag for a gift

This is a cheap and cute way to brighten up anyone’s day! And oh, my favorite Valentine ever? Well, I’ve been saving these since 1994. You have to be very special to get one of these bad boys…

Now, get to those 75% off sales and grab up some Valentines!

You are so smart. I bought Ashlynn her first cards to give out and she was soooo excited. At 2 you wouldn’t think it would matter but it does. I will definitely stock up after Valentines day

Great idea. I do kind of the same thing with b-day and Christmas cards. I cut the front off and my girls reuse them to make cards for their friends.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

:There are actually aoslbutely quite a lot of details just like that to take into consideration. Thatb4s a amazing point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly you can find questions like the one you bring up where the most fundamental factor will certainly be working in honest fine faith. I donb4t know if finest practices have emerged around things just like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game.
