Things I’m Lovin’ Today

1. The audio version of Peter Pan. Read by the delectable, delicious and dreamy voice of Jim Dale. (I’ve never read this book, only seen the Disney version. It’s really so good and much more magical!)

2. Organic cherries from Whole Foods. $3.99/lb.

3. The woman who gave me a coupon in the checkout line at Whole Foods for a free apple pie.

4. And the apple pie.

5. Jo-Lynne and her review blog. I just won 5 PakNaks! (Yes, I did get the Birdy Birdy because it looked like something a sisterchick SHOULD own.)

6. My husband. He made Lydia breakfast this morning and they watched Sesame Street (one. whole. hour.) while I slept.

7. So You Think You Can Dance. Did you watch it last night? I think Joshua & Katee stole the show. The John Mayer dance was cool, too.

8. My hydrangeas. I didn’t even know I had them! Last year we had ONE little flower. Yesterday I discovered 10 deep purple hydrangeas and they are gorgeous! This is the fun thing about living in an old house–discovering the new blooms.

isn't that unbelievable?!

9. Taking a shower at 1:30 in the afternoon. (It’s 1:26 now.)

10. A broken cell phone. Although it’s very inconvenient, it’s also very quiet. And it’s soooo 1999.

11. Imagination. Namely, Lydia’s.

12. Pretending to be Mommy Unicorn to Lydia’s Baby Unicorn. All morning.

13. Thursday Thirteen. Because otherwise, I’d still be banging my head against my laptop for some blogspiration!

Your Hydrangea are so pretty! I love the purple ones. We just seem to ahve the blue variety around here.

Someday you too will be waking up Lydia at 1pm when she is a teenager like my boys. Can you imagine that there will be a time when the morning will all be yours due to your children sleeping in? But I do miss the imagination.

Enjoy your afternoon–your flower picture is beautiful.

Yummy cherries! I am quickly finding they are this pregnant chick’s best friend! 🙂 Beautiful flowers too!

Joshua and Katie always steal the show! They are pretty amazing!!! Twitch is my fav though. He’s so stinkin’ likable. His and Kherington’s Mia Michael’s dance was crazy-good! It’s hard to choose who will be in the bottom three tonight. Yes, I’m obsessed with SYTYCD! 🙂

I’m addicted to SYTYCD too, but haven’t seen last nights episode yet. Happy TT

My parents always enjoyed seeing what “came up” when they’d move to a new parsonage. Those flowers are pretty!

Your hydrangea is gorgeous! I never could get them to grow at my house because we had too much sun in the landscaped area.

Those hydrangeas are amazing! I’m jealous because they won’t grow here.

I just happened to catch the dance show even though I hardly ever get to watch TV in the evenings anymore, and I saw the tango/flamenco dance. I’m sooo sorry I missed the John Mayer dance, whatever that was!

Those cherries sound good. I can’t get enough strawberries!!

So jealous of your free apple pie. And your hydrangeas. I need pretty flowers in my yard! Not that I’d see them much… in case you haven’t noticed, it’s HOT outside!

I loved Joshua and Katee and Twitch and Kherrington!

I’ve been in love in love with Jim Dale’s voice ever since the first time I heard him read Harry Potter. So. Good. I even stopped reading the books just so I could listen to him read them. His ability to do voices is phenomenal.

Totally in love with SYTYCD! Both Mia Michael’s routines were incredible, more so considering Joshua/Katee and Twitch/Kherington are our favorites. Mia is my favorite choreographer, by far.

First of all, your husband is wonderful. Every pregnant lady should have one like him!

Second – free apple pie? lucky!

Third – our old house has no surprises except how many species of weeds can take over a lawn.

Fourth – I was out of town all week, and did get to see SYTYCD at all! I was at a church conference, and I’m thankful I didn’t get struck down during the evening sessions thinking about how much I was missing the show. 😉 Can you tell me who left this week so I’m prepared for next week? I haven’t had a chance to check online yet…

So glad you’re excited about the PakNaks!! Let me know how you like them.

That hydrangea is SO pretty! And I love SYTYCD!! I really like Chealsea and Mark. But yeah, Katie & Joshua are pretty good too.

Welcome!
