Wordless Wednesday

pipe comics glasses handkerchief

My great great Grandpa. Born February 26, 1867. Died August 27, 1953.

Notice the unlaced shoes, the chair leaned back, the pipe, the comics , the handkerchief and the mustache.

(please, did you really think I could be wordless?)

I have a hard time being wordless, too.

Wonderful to have the memory and all the rest. He looks very relaxed, not a care in the world. Slower pace days.

    😀

    Beautiful photograph.

Thanks for your recent posts on my blog. I can tell I’m going to have fun poking around here.

Oh, and Lydia? Unbearbly cute. I’m just sayin’.

This is my favorite kind of picture. I love the old ones. And back then, most people only took “posed” shots. This one is real!

That’s an awesome photo. The best WW I viewed this week. Ironically, I dreamed about my own grandpa last night. He died in 1982 and I had only dreamed of him one other time right after he died. My grandma (his wife) was also in the dream, the first with her in it.

I love the nostalgia of this photo. Beautiful!
    Blessings,
    ~Toni~

Beautiful picture – I love it. Love love love old photographs. I wonder who took the picture . . . that is a question that always lands in my mind. I love looking at the things in pictures that show the age of the photo (besides the actual aging of the picture itself). Thank you for sharing this 🙂
