When my dh and I got married, we were trying to be frugal. We didn’t register for Waterford Crystal or a flat screen tv (well, they didn’t have flat screen tv’s waaay back in 1998). For some reason, we didn’t register for a vacuum cleaner. So, we were on the look out for an inexpensive vacuum. One day we drove by Linens N Things and saw a vacuum out of the box…what do you call that? Anyway, the point is we got a deal on it because it didn’t have a box. We were so happy! I loved my little vacuum cleaner.
Did I mention that was 1998? And I don’t really love that little thing any more…in fact, I hate that giant dinosaur of a machine. When you move it too hard, you know, like over the carpet, the top flies off and spits dust in your face. I have vowed to never use that vacuum cleaner again. Great idea, huh?

I’m being upset with you – I can’t imagine not having a vacuum!! I vacuum every morning 1) b/c we have a dog and a baby and 2) b/c it’s therapeutic for me. I have an electrolux and stinking love it. But my friend has a Dyson and stinking loves her. I hope you do win, I’ll be crossing my fingers for you!
