I’m a gift-giver. It’s one of my love languages. Not necessarily FOR me, but the way I speak. These past few weeks I’ve had several friends who I felt NEEDED some gifts. A friend experiencing the one year mark of her mother’s death, another friend starting school and one headed into surgery. I’ve got gifts on my mind for all of them!
So, here are some of my go-to gifts, gifts I actually already bought and stuff I’d just love to buy and save for when someone NEEDS it! Here it is…
MY TOP TEN MOST AWESOME GIFTS FOR YOUR BFFs!
{all pics are clickable so you can visit their respective sites & shops!}
1. Funky Necklace
.
My friend Candace makes these and I just love it. I have no idea what you wear it with and am pretty sure I’d look like an imbecile in it. But I still want one. Plus, all the profits from Candace’s shop goes to Compassion International!
2. Scripture
.
The kids and I make Scripture posters and banners all the time. But I’d love to have some Word-filled art on my walls. I bought this one for a friend of mine who has FIVE KIDS. Tell me she doesn’t need to remember THAT verse!
3. Personalized Jewelry
.
I’m a big fan of the hand-stamped jewelry. I have an “OhAmanda” necklace, “Lydia & Asa”, my World Vision, “Faith, Hope & Amor” plus a few Blissdom necklaces thrown in. This is a gorgeous twist on those simple necklaces—a sealing wax necklace. I’m telling you if that necklace was purple it would be on my neck now!
4. Thirty One
Source: iheartorganizing.blogspot.com via Erinn on Pinterest
.
Have you discovered the wonderfulness of ThirtyOne? It’s a tupperware-pamperedchef-mary-kay kinda thing. Only fun bags. I have the above bag and it is the most organized, sturdy, adorable little thing ever. Staci is a consultant if you wanna buy something! I just bought 2 of these bags–only in the mini version for some friends!
5. Candy

.
I mean who doesn’t like sweets? I couldn’t resist this one. Perfect for my sisterchicks!
6. Posy Pins!
Source: google.com via Amanda on Pinterest
.
I love these little posies from The Pleated Poppy. Lindsey, the owner & awesome-maker of these adorable little pins gave them out as her business card at Blissdom one year. I wear mine all the time. It’s awesome. They come in sets of 3 so you could totally split them up and give them to 3 different people! Score!
7. Scarf
Source: thepleatedpoppy.com via Amanda on Pinterest
.
I can’t get enough of scarves. I just bought my mom an awesome scarf from FashionABLE (made by women in Africa) and I showed you the cool twisty scarves from Fragile Flower on Saturday. But I also adore these ruffle scarves from The Pleated Poppy! YUMMY.
8. Gussy
Source: shopgussy.com via Jenni on Pinterest
.
How adorable is Gussy? If you haven’t found her ruffly-ness, then you must hop over to her site RIGHT NOW. I bought this little catch-all case for Mandi because it’s got birds on it–perfect for a twittering sisterchick!
9. Journal
I love journals. I have one like this from Dayspring. Mine is pink with birds (imagine that) but this one is the same shape. I love the feel of it. I think everyone should have a journal. You need to practice writing after all–because when do you ever do that? (Speaking of which, I just heard that Georgia is doing away with teaching cursive writing in schools! Handwriting! A lost art! Who knew?!)
10. a Bag!

You have to put all this great stuff inside of something, right? I got this cute bag from Plywood People at the Orange Conference. It’s made by legal refugees in Atlanta. They make these cool little bags out of old signs and billboards. And one of the coolest parts about their organization is they sell the bags in bulk quantities so you can sell them as a fundraiser for your church or ministry. Isn’t that smart?

I tweeted the giveaway {@tiamimi}
Cute stuff. Love that necklace. I linked to The Pleated Poppy too because I am going to do my first What I wore Wednesday (which I first heard about it from you). ACK!
The Pleated Poppy?? *swoon*
I love girly accessories from my girlfriends–so fun, and your friends know what it is you like, right? So necklaces and scarves–yes please!
I adore pretty journals, and always have a tiny notebook handy, so that is a close runner-up.
I love to give handmade gifts! I’m currently working on a pillowcase and throw pillow for my best friend and sister!
I am not very good at giving gifts… but these are some great ideas!
Right now I am working on end-of-year teacher gifts! My go to gift is handstamped notecards. It’s something I can do with all the supplies I have on hand as I work to make my hobby into a business!
Aww….thanks for the shout out, friend! Glad you like your bags!
im a gift giver too. Since I became a sahm, we don’t have much extra money. I love treating my friends to Starbucks, buying them clothes, or getting them ape sil things that are their favs. I love all of your gift ideas too!
I like ohamanda on Facebook as mandi Navarre eschenbach
I love to give either something very practical or a book or Scripture, too. Thanks for this opportunity! (And for hosting us each week for Top Ten Tuesday!)

Cute scarves! I am working on my collection to cover my soon-to-be shaved head!
I was just thinking about you yesterday, Kelly! So glad to see you here!
Gift cards or babysitting. But maybe I should try to be more creative and get something original on Etsy instead.
I am really happy for Georgia. I have been saying that cursive should be dropped from the curriculum for years. If you want to teach your child cursive at home, good for you. New stuff is always being added to the curriculum, but rarely is anything taken OUT. It’s rather ridiculous (ex-teacher rant).
I tweeted.
I FB liked/shared.
I FB like you.
P.S. Blogger is down AGAIN. ARRRRGGGGH! Hopefully I’ll be able to link up tomorrow.
What a great list! A lot of these would make cute grad gifts too.
I love to give books – and Starbucks cards! Maybe it because that is 2 of my favorite things to give!
Your list is awesome too!
I tweeted the giveaway!!
I like giving a small gift card to Panera. Hopefully she can pop in alone for an iced tea, good pastry, free wifi, and a little quiet “me time.”
Love 3 & 4 — so super cute!
Don’t know if you’re aware, but looks like your mobile-friendly homepage is kicking in for me despite the fact that I’m on a laptop. May be something you’re still working on (or your programmer) but just thought I would mention it. The regular posts show up just fine — only your index.
weird. my mobile plugin never even works for me on my phone…
thanks for the heads up!
my favorite thing to give besides flowers is books. My BFFs LOVE to read and I love to pass on books to them!!
I like ohamanda on FB (have been liking Impress Your Kids for a long time) !!

I like ohAmanda on fb!
GIRL! I love in gifts, too! Both giving and getting – it frustrates Josh so much… 😉 I love to give little gift basket thingies that come together as I think about each friend – it might be a wine basket with a fav bottle of wine and some good cheese and fruit, or a little something I’ve sewn up just for her with a little notebook or something cute tucked inside. Right now, I’m loving going to farmer’s markets with all the booths with handmade items. I go crazy there!
OfcourseIlikeyouonFB!
I tweeted!
and I shared on FB, too!
I love to give smelly-stuff – either room spray or lotions or candles – anything that makes your home or body smelly good. 🙂 I usually give citrus scents (lemon is my favorite).
I want those poseys from the pleated poppy!!! I also LOVE to make homemade food for my friends. I’m on a pretty tight budget so homemade gifts are usually a pretty budget friendly thing to do!
I follow you on twitter
well shoot — I meant to say that I “like” you on facebook and now I’m saying I shared this post on facebook
And I shared it on twitter. =)
I must say I love the plywood bags and admire what they’re doing. Thanks for hosting this. I learn lots of good things every week.
Some of those “designer” cupcakes, scripture and encouragement cards (the ones that are the size of a playing card that you get a Christian bookstores) and monogrammed things are my favorite BFF gifts to give.
My favorite BFF gift to give are pictures or homemade scrapbook pages!
