2. you almost burn your house down

3. you have to wash every single solitary piece of bedding

4. and clothing

5. and all the rugs to get the smoke smell out

6. and then your son gets sick and vomits all over you all night

7. and you have friends coming in the same day

8. that you have to drive your son to Camp Primo: Snow Jam

9. and clean the house all in one day?

  2. I’d say just the first 5 reasons are good enough reason to not write a Top Ten post!! Hope all gets better soon — and as the mother of 7 I must say that stories like yours today just make for great stories down the road!!

  3. Oh, yuck. I hate stomach bugs. Hate hate hate. I meant to have a top 10 post, but it ballooned into Top Twelve (my link title is supposed to say 10 (+2) but it didn’t work out I guess. It still alliterates, right?

  5. 🙁 Sorry to hear about all the bugs flying around the house. And hey, I have lately become famous for leaving things in the oven until they are nearly crispy…and not because they’re supposed to be that way. We may be superwomen most of the time, but sometimes, we also have our off days and weeks. This too shall pass! Stay healthy and enjoy your company 🙂

    • Thanks, Tiff! Leaving stuff in the oven/on the stove is just the WORST. I keep going back to that minute where I should have turned and remembered it was on. Gah!

    • Oh, yuck, Vanessa! Thankfully Lydia and Asa were only sick for like 2 days. But *shudder* it’s just gross. Praying L & J get well soon! {Is B in town? Do you need some help?}

  20. I *almost* did a top ten post on how I’m sooo close to getting my M.D.–husband out of town, three kids sick, three doctor’s appointments in seven days. I feel your pain. And I feel like I know a ton about antibiotics.
