Mini Clay Pot Christmas Trees

christmas tree craft

We made Christmas trees as part of our advent activities this week! First we read The Legend of the Three Treesand The Pine Tree Parable. I think I cried during both of them. You need BOTH of these books. I’ll never look at our Christmas tree the same again. Seriously. Awesome.

Then we made these cute little mini flower pot Christmas trees to go along with our tree theme. I found 6 packs of these mini pots at Hobby Lobby for $1.27 and 50% off! I wanted to do them four high but couldn’t find the right sizes. But I kinda like them with just two. They look cute.

We had 3 different colors of green–from shamrock to leaf. Not one pine-tree-green among them. But they still turned out nice and Christmasy.

We used the ends of our paintbrushes to make the polka dots. And really, this is harder for kids than it looks. You can’t have too much paint on your brush or it will drip. And if you don’t go straight on, it won’t be a dot–more of an amoeba.

Finally, I hotglued some glittery craft foam on top for the star and our little trees are ready to go! I didn’t even glue the pots together–they kinda stuck together on their own.

I love your trees. Two high looks great! I wouldn’t have thought about using the end of the brush to make circles!

I know this website presents quality based articles or
reviews and extra material, is there any other site which gives such stuff
    in quality?
