The NOT Going to BlogHer Post

Y’all. I’m having such a hard time writing this post. It’s like writing a bio. UGH. I hate writing bios. But I adore reading them. I always wonder how everyone is so creative and concise. While I’m trying to write my whole life story in 3 sentences. *whew* Ok. Here we go…

I’m a former Children’s Pastor turned stay-at-home mom to two really cute kids and married to my hubby of 11 years (this Saturday!). I like books (a lot), chocolate (really a lot) and I love my blog (really really a lot).

That sounds like every mommy blogger on the block! Let’s see…

If I had my druthers I’d watch So You Think You Can Dance hosted by Barney from How I Met Your Mother while Jeff Probst from Survivor and Sawyer from Lost were dancing with Chuck and Olive from Pushing Daisies.

OK. That was freaky.

So, here’s the deal. I’ve got a bio page here. My pic is in my sidebar (—–>). I have recently launched my new-ish blog, Impress Your Kids (Which, incidentally is having a week long surprise party filled with great posts and prizes. Yes, I said prizes.). I only halfway wish I was at BlogHer because my son is only 10 months old and really do I want to be carting around an exhausted kid and still try to be cute and witty and charming? So, I’m ecstatic to be hopping to your blog at Robin‘s BlogHop.

If you leave me a comment I promise promise promise someday I’ll get to your blog and do the same. And I might even subscribe. Because I just recently deleted my ENTIRE feedreader. So, it’s quite empty now…always looking for fun stuff to read! (Oh, what’s that? You want to subscribe to MY feed? Well, please do! And while we’re at it, let’s tweet!)

    You did a great job writing your post and I soooo struggled writing mine too! And I don’t really have a bio page 😀 Guess I should get on that! It was neat to meet you at Blissdom, but even neater to get to know you better through Twitter and here 🙂

    Hi! I hate writing bios too. I hadn’t a hope of getting to BlogHer this year (I’m still trying to find that elusive PR company who will spot me the airfare from Australia – no luck so far, LOL). Havin’ myself a bit of a blog-reading marathon now though I will have to get up soon as my eyes are starting to glass over. Never a good thing.

  6. I have recently come to adore both of your blogs. Inspire Your Kids is definitely my new favorite! I have a hard time writing bios, too. Seems like it always says the same old thing. But I guess I’m just the same old me, so it’s okay. I didn’t even consider going to BlogHer because we live in Germany and my husband just returned from his deployment a couple of months ago. No way am I leaving home! I really want to go to a blogging conference when we get back to the states, though.

    Also love the JSB – just now getting into it with my kids. That author interview was incredible, by the way.

  13. I HATE writing bios too and I had to write them for my THREE blogs. Of course I didn’t want them all to be the EXACTLY the same. So I had 3 times the work. I’m just sayin…
