It’s Monday. You know how I feel about Mondays. I just can’t summon an ounce of blogspiration. I know some of my big bloggy heroes write lots of posts during the week so they don’t get stuck like this. But I’m just not that good.
So, today, I’m going to do a little follow-up post. As if they weren’t interesting enough the first time, I’m going to let you know about some stuff that happened with some of my old posts.
This first one is REALLY exciting.
Remember when God spoke to me? Well, I emailed that post to Robin Jones Gunn’s web address. (I don’t know who got it, her assistant, a black hole?) Anyway, I got an email back from ROBIN JONES GUNN herself! Then a few hours later I got a comment on my actual blog from WAMBURA! The girl from Nairobi! I am still shocked and amazed that first of all RJG got my email, read it, read my blog, then forwarded to Wambura, who read it and commented!
ARE YOU BELIEVING THIS?!
I felt like I just met Johnny Depp or something. (He’s the first famous person that popped into my mind!) So, now, not only is RJG a far off-mentor, a hero, but now she’s in my INBOX!
OK, let’s collect ourselves for follow-up #2…
Remember when I lost my oh! ho! ho! page? Well, Travis from mancavemojo, the guy who did my amazing purpley site design emailed me and said, “oh, I just read your blog and noticed you lost your page. well, google keeps track of everything, so here it is…” And he had a link to my original oh! ho! ho! page.
First of all, he reads my blog?! (thank you, Travis.) Second, “Oh, Google just happens to technical-internet-mumbo-jumbo, here it is…” I didn’t understand a word he said, but he had my page. I’ve told him before and I’ll say it again, he’s a genius.
Now, follow-up #3…
I got my first honest to goodness nasty comment. Remember my sisterchick cruise? I wrote a post about the poeple of Nassau and how they affected me. Well, someone must have been tag surfing and stumbled on that post. I just got a new comment where she called me a “locust” and told me she felt sorry for me. It’s just amazing how people see/read everything through their lens. I certainly meant my post in an honest and loving way. This person didn’t remotely see that. But my favorite part is that I responded back to her via email, she did not return the favor. But within the hour, I had another comment that said, “I second that.” So, homegirl must have told her friend what I said and tried to gang up on me. I love it!!
OK, last random follow-ups…
1. Lydia’s potty training is going along swimmingly! The only accidents we’ve had since meltdown-day are during naps!
2. I think we ARE going on a cruise for our family vacation.
3. TEN DAYS TILL LOST PREMIERES!
Well, it’s 7:59 and it has literally taken me all day to get this post out. Maybe I should take a page from my bloggy heroes’ book and start pre-writing/posting. *sigh*
Yeah, right.
Oh, I’m going on an adventure tomorrow! I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

I’m so excited that potty training is going SO well for you Amanda! That is just wonderful;) When I fully dive into it, I’ll be coming to you for some pointers!
I have yet to get any nasty comments on my blog. (I must be too boring, or don’t have enough mean people reading;))
And pre-posting? I do it ALL.THE.TIME! It really saves time:)

How cool to get an email for RJG! I had that happen once, different author, but still cool!
Phooey on the person who mis-red your blog and said unkind words (then had a friend do the same). Phooey, I say, phooey! 🙂
Oh, and I can’t wait for Lost!! Weird, I was just dreaming of Lost this morning!!! Wish I could say that my dream cleared things up. It didn’t. I’m waiting for next Thursday night….my dvr will be set up very soon – can’t take the chance that something will happen to make miss a minute of it!!! 🙂

Well I know someone who’ll get all big-headed after reading this… but you’re right, he’s pretty smart. However, I’m not so sure that all his techno-jargon really means anything. 🙂
Too bad Fay and Butch didn’t read the last 2 paragraphs of your post!!

Thanks for the updates! How cool about RJG! And too bad about people having to leave nasty comments…get a life! Hope you do get that cruise! 🙂
Misty says
it’s ironic because i wanted to cause a ruckus. We have never even met and my protective feathers flared up… If this person had even attempted to read your blog, they would have seen that you are quite sincere… Oh well. Some people need lives!

Cool e-mail from RJG!
If you’re a-cruising my way (aka Cruise Ship Capital of the USA), let me know!

I know the thrill! I posted on Samaritan’s Purse and got a comment on behalf of Franklin Graham. Ok so, it was only a on behalf of, but it sure made my day!
Nasty comments, hmmmm. You know you’ve hit the big time when…

I’m with Misty, my protective feathers flew up when reading that too! The obviously didn’t read it with their hearts, only with their judgemental eyes, looking for something to jump on you for. WAY cool about the email and blog post, too!
