disneyland

I’m pretty sure this is a picture of me at Disneyland.

I know I’m in California and I know that stroller isn’t typical of a normal family.

I also know that outfit is awesome.

As is my haircut.

Disney historians, do you recognize the stroller?

Am I really in the happiest place on earth?

Some Things Never Change: A Retro Photo

1946. At Selma & Emmanuel Oker’s in Oxford, MN I have no idea who the Okers are. The only person that looks familiar is the girl on the far left holding the little boy. I think that’s my grandmother. Doesn’t it just look like one of those, “OK, Grandma in the middle. Now, all the [...]

Self-Esteem: A Retro Photo

February 24, 2010 wordless wednesday

Hazel. Mildred. Virginia. 1928. Hazel is my great-grandmother. My mom said Great-Grandma was a very strange woman. When she saw this picture my mom speculated that Great Grandma scratched her own face out. Isn’t that freaky? And even if that’s not the case, someone MUST have scratched it out. So, regardless, this picture makes me [...]
