How To Be a Super Hero {Series}

Super Hero Series: Fun Devotions for Kids

Our kids want to be super. And you know what? As a parent? I want my kids to be super, too. I want people, even adults to look up to my children because of their relationship with the Lord!

This Super Hero series is based on 1 Timothy 4:12,

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young,
but set an example for the believers,
in speech,
in life,
in love,
in faith and
in purity.

These activities will guide you and your children through exploring how to have SUPER speech, FANTASTIC conduct, to have INCREDIBLE love, LIGHTNING FAST faith and MAGNIFICENT purity.

How can I contact you more information on your hero series to do this for our church VBS this year. SUPER excited that this just happened to cross my computer screen. I had envisioned a HERO titled them, Heroes of the Bible, so while searching for that I found you. As soon as I started reading, excitement filled me. I was sold, when I read an emphasis was placed on Ephesians 4:29, one of my favorites. I reviewed your material with our VBS planning committee and we are all on the same boat, and everyone is ready to get started. The music you found is so awesome, and Since I am in charge of music this just gets me so much more excited…I just wanted a little guidance and insight from you on things you have learned from others who have done your series at VBS. Thank you for your ministry through this. You are such a supermom. Just for myself with three little ones around the house it is inspiring and attainable to do as you show us to do. Awesome and blown away!

  2. Awesome! I think this would be a great idea to use with my kids over the summer when school is over! Definitely book-marking this page and coming back to study it! Thanks for sharing such great ideas.

  3. Thanks so much for this! I’m geared up and ready to go through this series in the next few weeks w/ my kiddos. Great way to kick of the summer. Thank you!

  4. Hi Amanda,

We are doing a Super Hero School Holiday Program with our Kids Church. I’m only just starting to put it together. Wasn’t sure of the verse to use, but then I found your page and came across the one used and so that will be our verse.
Can I have your permission to print out your ‘badges’. We’re also doing ‘ Jesus You’re My Super Hero’ song as well – that was one thing already locked in. We did it once many years ago for our Kids Christmas Production.
Thanks for any help you may have.
Love your page! How awesome it is!!

  5. All I can say is ‘you are a hero’! God has truly gifted you with creative ideas! I do street ministry for children. We go out into the neighborhoods where children live and do Backyard Bible Clubs. We target low income, unchurched children but it truly is for all children. I have been looking for fresh and new ideas for lesson materials. This morning God gave me the words ‘how can I be a superhero for God’. What a great idea for a lesson series! I typed it in and your website popped up. I am energized and excited about creating a series our of your ideas! You mentioned doing this as a vbs at your church. Any ideas to help me create a teaching series for unchurched children would be appreciated!

    • Awesome, Denise! We didn’t do it as a VBS…we were guest speakers at a camp/vbs and spoke on this topic. Let me know if you have any specific questions. :)

Oh, Amanda. I am using most of your ideas for a 4 week Sunday School curriculum. I have changed it up here and there. Wrote out the Bible stories for the teachers. and added in a few different craft ideas. Thanks for taking the time to type out the cool stuff you do with your kids :)
