Fruit of the Spirit Activities

fruit of the spirit crafts and activities for kids

They say a child’s character is developed by the time they are 5 years old. FIVE!! Schools are doing a good job at focusing on character qualities–you’ve probably seen them tout their Character Quality of the Week on the sign out front. But the qualities I want my kids to have? More spiritual than teamwork and punctual: I want them to grow the Fruit of the Spirit in their lives.

When my daughter was 3 1/2 years old, we started this series because she needed help with self-control. I wanted to show her what God said about growing that virtue in her life!

In this series, you’ll see an introduction post relating a real fruit to the Fruit of the Spirit. Usually there is an activity or craft within those introduction posts. Many times, I’d also do additional activity posts and sometimes a “round-up” of links for some other fun fruit-themed or fruit-of-the-spirit themed activities. Some have only one post, some have several. Enjoy!
