It’s time for a little bloggy fun! Well, fun for me anyway. I got a fun little gift from my bloggy friend, Jubilee over at Notes of Jubilee! I’ve known her for awhile (did we meet during oh! ho! ho! ?) Anyway, I’m her Peep O’ The Week! I didn’t even do anything except leave her a little ol’ comment on a previous post! And I even get to wear this fun button so everyone knows I’m her peep!

While we’re sharin’ the love, I think I’ve been tagged for a few hundred memes that I haven’t even remotely done. *blushing* So, I got tagged for one today by Annie (*heart*) and decided it needed to be done! Here’s the rules: write 7 random things about your kids, then tag some other people. Easy enough? Here goes…

1. Lydia goes from asleep to awake in about .000001 seconds. I know she’s awake because she yells, “MOOOOOOOMMMMMMMYYYYYYYY!” the second her eyes open in the morning. (For the record, I go from asleep to awake in about 20 minutes.)

2. My little pirate already knows how to dance a jig. He performs nightly, just as I’m going to sleep.

3. Lydia loves to say “cool” and “ohMYgoodness”. Wonder who she got that from?

4. The pirate apparently has good ears. Every time he hears about any food (peanut M&Ms, pound cake, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob) he wants it. Right away.

5. Lydia loves to cook. She uses a cookbook, wears an apron, her chef hat and a winter mitten that doubles as an oven mitt.

6. Lydia loves to eat her vitamins. She calls them “bidamims”.

7. This morning, Lydia got in the bed with me, pulled the covers off my tummy and said, “Did the baby come out yet?”

I don’t know what that title means. I think it used to be on Channel 5 News. (Like the 5 top news stories at 5pm…anyone? Did I dream this?) Anyway, the point is Chel tagged me for a meme that I’ve actually NEVER done! FUN.

Basically, it’s just 5 answers for each question. (But there are 7 questions, so that doesn’t really fit, now does it?)

1. planning my wedding!

3. laundry (i’ve decided that laundry is a picture of God. It’s never ending. He’s never ending. It’s the first and last. The Alpha and Omega. It’s here always and forever. It will never leave me or desert me. Good analogy, right?)
4. clean the dryer vent (hey, it’s on the list!)
5. come up with a million dollar online sahm job opportunity to do with my sisterchicks (any ideas?)

1. Girl Scout Cookies!
2. left over easter eggs (I know, weird.)
3. cherries (sounds so good! when are they in season?)
4. my few Reese’s eggs I haven’t eaten yet
5. I don’t know, everything I think of is making me kinda queasy…

1. Pay off mortgages &/or buy homes for us and our families

I took a blogging break yesterday. I just couldn’t think of anything to post. And I was just tired. I didn’t even visit any blogs (well, maybe one or two). I just didn’t feel like blogging. *gasp*

Anyway, I’ve been tagged about 475 times in the last week and because I’m still in a blogfog, I thought I’d fulfill one of my many tag-ed-ness-es. (Do you love the new words I’ve created?!)

This one is from a fellow Amanda @Mommy Mandy! I’ve done it probably 7 times— 7 Random Things About Me. But I thought it was time for a little randomness around here. I’ll twist it up a bit and do 7 Random Dreams I’ve Had!

Let the randomness begin…

1. When I was in 9th grade, an attractive senior guy sat across from me in my Typing class. (Why was he in the freshman typing class?) Anyway, I had a dream about him that was THE LONGEST dream of my life. It felt like 3 hours. I can’t remember the whole thing, mainly we were trying to get away from someone and running around a huge complex, but I do remember that we drove off into the sunset in a red convertible. It was the strangest dream because I did not remotely know him, never spoke to him and don’t even recall his name. It even surprised me at the time.

2. I’ve had a reccurring dream about my dad, brother and me going trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. We were walking down the street, then came to a big house. It was different from every other house in our neighborhood. For some reason we walk in and the house catches on fire! All the beams and the curtains are falling down around us in flames! I’ve had that dream so many times. It’s not a nightmare exactly, it’s just very vivid!

3. Once I had a dream that one of my friends was mad at me. The next time I saw her, I was nervous because I couldn’t distinguish my dream feelings from reality. I kept thinking she hated me! Ugh, I can still remember how it felt. It was awful.

4. When Lydia was still a newborn I dreamed she got out of her crib and walked all the way into our bedroom because she needed something. She was still her newborn size and couldn’t walk well. It was terrifying as a new mom and slightly creepy to boot.

5. I’ve had dreadful dreams about people while they have been going through bad situations in real life. I knew 6 little girls that had adopted and after about 2 years, their adopted parents “gave them away”. I had horrible dreams about them running away from burning houses and trying to find me. *shudder* I still feel like maybe we should have adopted those girls. It just makes me sick.

6. I have very detailed dreams “starring” people that I’ve never ever met. Not like famous people, just made up people! Is that normal? It’s so weird, whole dreams of me interacting with made up people! I just wonder how my mind can make up completely pretend people with faces and personalities, but I can’t  write something as interesting!

7. Last night I dreamed I wrote a really boring blog post but I still got tons of comments about how great it was. We’ll see if that one comes true. Ahem.

(ps–I tried to write dreamt but my spellcheck said that wasn’t a word. I looked it up in an online dictionary…and said dreamt is a word. Anyone know what the deal is? Is it dreamed or dreamt?)

One of my newest bloggy friends, Megan from Sorta Crunchy just “carded” me. I think it just means “tagged”. Regardless, I want to honor her by responding. (By the way, have you visited her yet? She’s fun and cute and we just clicked! Go say hi!)

I’m filling out a Wish List for this new year. A wish list for things I want…just fun stuff. And the 2nd list is a spiritual wish list. The idea is a prayer list so others can see what I’m praying for and desiring in my life. Good idea, right?

So, here we go. Get your credit cards and prayer shawls ready. (I’m not be flippant, I promise.)

My Materialistic Wish List:

1. A new stinkin’ camera that actually takes pictures when you press the button. Not 3.5 mintues later.

2. An Ikea Designer to come in and organize/decorate my house. Our house is so odd, that I just don’t know what to do about storing and organizing it.

3. Laser Eye Surgery. I’m going to the doctor soon about this, we’ll see what he says!

4. Books. I always like books. Oh, I’ve been wanting to see what this one‘s about.

5. Clothes. I always like clothes. And shoes.

My Spiritual Wish List:

1. Megan said “DISCIPLINE”. And I’m with you! I need it in so many areas.

2. Our “future”. I’m not worried about it as much anymore. But as time goes by, there is still a question mark in my mind.

3. I want to see some miracles in some of my friends’ & family’s lives.

4. Can I repeat #3?

5. I want to see Lydia grow in Godly characterisitcs.

(These are all just too big. I could write 3 whole blogs about each one. So, I’ll just keep it at that, ok?)

Now, I get to card (seriously, where did that come from?) 5 people. Hmmm…
