“The following takes place between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on the day of the California Presidential Primary.”
I know, it’s not exactly the same. And no commentary, please. It’s more about Jack than Barack. Oh, how I miss Jack. And David Palmer.

I love 24. I have an honest to goodness crush on Jack Bauer. Not Keifer. Heck, no. But, Jack? Oh, yeah.
But this season I’m…disappointed. There I said it, I’m disappointed in Jack! This season already had a lot to prove since apparently everyone from the last season is dead except Jack, Chloe and Buchanan. But every week we’re getting cheesier (more cheesy?) plots, less character development and barely any Jack time!
Last night Jack finds out the Chinese want to get a circuit board (or something) from a nuke in exchange for Jack’s old flame, Audrey. And Jack agrees. Jack would never agree to something like that! Remember Chase? Remember Curtis? Remember the 50 other guys Jack has killed this morning?
We’ve had 18 hours of chasing a silly suitcase bomb around and now we’re finally getting to Jack tearing up the entire Chinese government (which is what I’ve been waiting for since they carted him off last season) and suddenly he’s going to trade a government secret for a girlfriend he hasn’t seen in 2 years?!
Please, Jack, prove to me that I’m wrong. Make the next 6 hours worth Wayne Palmer’s coma, President Logan’s stabbing, Morris’ breakdown, Milo’s jealousy, your family’s freakishness and Doyle’s idiocy. And please, please call your daughter, Kim. Please!
Oh, but I will leave you with this. Because, well, it’s true:

Today I went to the mall and bought some clothes. Whoo-ee! This has only happened about 4 times since Lydia was born. OK, so they are still comfy pants & cotton shirts, but at least they’re new!
But as I’m walking around the mall, what am I really thinking of? Jack Bauer. Buchanan. Chloe. Miles. Milo. Hiro. Sylar. Claire. Scofield. Linc. Horatio. Callie. I’m thinking of my TIVO! What would I do without my tivo?! To borrow a very overused and lame phrase, “IT IS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!” I wouldn’t know, never having bread un-sliced. I’m think a better phrase would be “it’s the best thing since the can opener!” Did you know the can opener wasn’t invented until 50 years after canned food?!
Back to the point: Monday is the best night on tv. My dh and I watch How I Met Your Mother (I mean, really, Doogie Howser is on it!), The Class (the red headed guy is hi-lar-ious!), Prisonbreak (they are skating on thin ice with me…if they get away one more time…), CSI: Miami (I can’t help it, I like Horatio, head tilt and all!), Hereos (my new fave) and the master of all shows, 24 (if you don’t watch 24, you don’t know Jack).
So, there it is. I just let everyone know how big of losers we actually are. Yes, 5 hours of tv a night. But as every good tivo user/lover knows, 5 hours of tv is only 3.33 hours of tivo. I haven’t watched a commercial in 3 years. Praise the Lord.
