I thought I’d do a little Bible-Based, Jesus-Centric Gift Guide for you and your kiddos this season (well, ONE WEEK TILL CHRISTMAS). As I started writing it I realized I’ve linked to all these products several times and thought about not making it. But then I realized the reason I talk about these products/ministries all the time is because THEY ARE ALL AWESOME.
I love folks who genuinely have a heart to bring kids to Jesus and surround little hearts with God’s love. That’s what these companies do. If you’re still wondering what to get the little kids in your life (or you’ve somehow ignored my suggestions for the last few years), may I suggest buying them one of these resources that will point them to Jesus? Here’s a few of my faves from this year (and pretty much every year)…
U-Neeks from Dayspring
These are silly little monstery-stuffed-animals based on Psalm 139 and help kids remember how unique God designed them. My kids love them and their entire line of products—lunchbox notes, temporary tattoos, giant plush, notebooks and more. But right now—>
I am madly in love with these socks.
And these mini-plush for stocking stuffers.
What’s in the Bible? DVDs
I can’t stop talking about these movies because when you and your kids watch them together (<–key word), you won’t stop talking about it either. It’s the perfect way to start keeping the Bible as a normal conversation in your house. If you’re new to WITB, you need to grab the first 1 or 2 DVDs and #10 because it’s about Jesus’ death and resurrection. Oh, and the Christmas DVD and book, of course!
Seeds Family Worship
Modern Scripture worship music. It’s awesome. You’ll love it. Don’t believe me? Download JOY, their free Christmas song from their Seeds of Encouragement CD.
Yancy
Yancy is passionate about putting God’s Word into kids’ heart with super fun music. From preschool to teenagers, her music is for the whole family! Use code YANCYLOVESME for free shipping!
Adventures in Odyssey Adventure Club
Y’all. This is my new favorite thing. You get access to all (ALL!!) the Adventures in Odyssey episodes PLUS a subscription to Clubhouse magazine, free online devotionals, sneak peeks to books, exclusive episodes, documentaries and more. You can see my full review here.
And how great is a digital gift? No mess!
Clubhouse & Clubhouse Jr Magazines
My kids love mail and I love when they get mail that points them to Jesus. Each magazine has games, stories, articles, jokes and more. And it’s a gift that lasts all year long!
Clubhouse is for kids 8-12. Clubhouse Jr is for kids 4-7.
And my top 3 choices for kids’ books this year are:
Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd Jones (for the whole family!)
Imagination Station series by Paul McCusker (elementary-aged chapter books)
Sammy and the Shepherd by Susan Hunt (all-ages devotional)
And my Top 5 Gifts For the Mamas…
Anything from the Everlasting Light Collection
In This House We Will Giggle by Courntey DeFeo
Praying for Boys by Brooke McGlothlin
Surprised by Motherhood by Lisa Jo Baker
