Printable Nativity Scenes

Today we spent about twenty minutes during school-time listening to Christmas music and making Christmas presents for our sponsored kids. I scoured the internet for printable nativity scenes because I saw someone somewhere in the vast expanse of the blogosphere who sent a nativity scene to their sponsored kids and I have always wanted to do the same thing!

Printable Nativity Scenes for Sponsored Kids
I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to nativity scenes and many of them are printable. I picked this adorable one from Hart of the Mountain. They are kind of finger-puppets/playing cards. Regardless, they are super cute AND available in black and white or full-color.

Lydia colored with gusto while Asa colored the white sheep. (He’s a hard worker, I tell ya’.)

We’re going to laminate them and add a little loop of paper to the back. We also sent a special gift to our sponsored kids. $25 each. That’s it. And I know from years past that $25 can buy things like bicycles, clothes, grain and more. They usually send us a picture of the gift. I can’t wait to see what they get!

Have you written your sponsored kids this month? Why not send them a Christmas gift? There are tons of free downloads out there! Grab a fun one and send it today to make sure it arrives in time for Christmas.

These are so cute! I sent my child something similar- a nativity sticker scene from Oriental Trading and a printed out copy of the Christmas story from the bible in her language so she can put the story picture together herself.

These are SO cute!! Love it! We sent some made-by-our-kids nativity scenes to our Sponsor kids a couple years ago, along with the Christmas story written out in their language, & they all really appreciated it. I think I’m going to get my kids coloring to send these new ones this year. Thanks for sharing!! 🙂 I always love hearing your ideas!

The printable nativity is a great idea! I’ve been going nuts trying to find something to send our Compassion child. I sent a cash gift, but wanted to send something in my letter as well! Thanks for the suggestion!

Lisa: you’re looking for a Christmas musical? play? or short skits?

      Here’s a few resources I like:
http://www.creativemin.com/category/christmas (lots of resources including puppet skits)
http://www.amazon.com/Testament-QuickSkits-Steven-Storytelling-Library/dp/0784716307/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352729865&sr=8-1&keywords=steven+james+new+testament (maybe not Christmas in THIS book, but he has tons of great, short, easy skits for kids)
http://www.kathiehillmusic.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=11 (a great Christmas musical that includes Operation Christmas Child)
      http://fancymonkey.com/Web/JJam/ThreeWise.htm (a hilarious Christmas musical)
      http://www.lillenas.com/nphweb/html/ldol/itempage.jsp?itemId=MC-268&nid=srch&catalogId=NA&catSec (funny skits)
      http://www.lillenas.com/nphweb/html/ldol/itempage.jsp?itemId=MC-291&nid=srch&catalogId=NA&catSec (funny skits)

      Hope that helps!

My kids just completed this for our Compassion kids – thanks so much for the wonderful idea! Question: how did you attach the paper loop on the back?
