When I first started sharing daily prayers for our kids on Facebook, it was just because it was an easy thing to share. I figured you’d like to have a daily verse as much as I do. I have been so excited when so many of you respond, like and share those small statuses.
I feel like we’re having a mini-prayer meeting and all of us are quickly laying hands on our kids at the same time, praying the same thing. What life change God can do with those quick prayers!
Many people have been asking about the books I get the prayers from and I’m going to show them all to you now!

The first (and my personal favorite) is Stormie Omartian’s Power of a Praying Parent. The reason I love it is that it is powerful. They chose the right name for the book! These aren’t meek, “keep-my-kid-safe” prayers. These are Scripture-filled, expectant prayers. I feel powerful when I read them!
I did a vlog about the book, if you’d like to hear (and see) more!

I love putting my kids’ name in Scripture. It reminds me how living and active God’s Word really is!

If you want to be reminded that your prayers do matter and that God has given you the ability, the calling and the right to change your kids’ lives in prayer–you need this book! I feel like I underlined the whole book because it was that good.

I got to hang out with Brooke at dotMom last weekend and let me tell you, she is passionate about praying for boys. She believes (and I do, too) that we can begin a revival in the hearts of boys…future men, dads and husbands by praying for them as boys. Oh, this is so big! This book is similar to Berndt’s book in that she’s listed a lot of Scripture with blanks for your kids’ names. I love it!
I also love Marla Alupoacicei’s book, Prayer Warrior Mom and Jenica McMaster’s Prayer with Purpose journals. You can see more on my Praying for Your Kids Pinterest board annnd, if you subscribe to my newsletter, you can get a copy of my prayer book, Praying God’s Word for Your Kids!
I’m with you on the Praying Scriptures for Your Children book. I’ve been reading it (or not so much) for weeks. Maybe you can be my accountability partner to get through it.
I’m actually in the midst of writing a book about praying for your kids – it’s the next book in my “31 Days to Pray for…” series. Praying the Scriptures is SO powerful, and I love using Scripture to pray over my kids!!
Thank you so much for this post… IT HAD TRULY BLESSeD me and encouraged me to pray MORE for my 3 boys and seek God even deeper… also thank you for the book titles… Christianbook here I come!!
I have to say praying circles around my children and being a member of the MOBS group has changed my life and prayers that I pray for my boys! Love love them!

Thank you for sharing the free ebook info. This will get me started! I want to read them all 🙂
When I saw the Praying Circles book was free on Amazon a few days ago, I remembered that you had mentioned it on facebook. I am LOVING it. It is so encouraging and empowering.
I don’t have a favorite prayer book per-se, but I printed off Bob Hostetler’s daily prayer list. It is on the door to the garage so that I can be intentional to be praying for them as I go in and out throughout the day.
