So. My iPhone. I kinda love it. Jo-Lynne just posted about how she still kinda misses her Android. But I am flat out in love with my iPhone. And Siri, the voice of my iPhone can help me do almost anything. I can tell her, “Remind me to email So-and-So” and she will! I make audio notes about blog posts and grocery lists. I say, “Call my mom” and she does! I ask her the weather and she brings up the weather report. I even asked her what 435 divided by 24 was and she gave me the answer! Once I asked her who the president was and she showed me a picture of Obama. (Didn’t like that too much, actually. But still. She’s smart.)
And she’s kinda funny, too. Here’s some of my favorite conversation with Siri:
1. Me: Merry Christmas, Siri.
She’s so politically correct!
2. Me: Tell me a joke.
That. Is a good one!
3. Me: I’m tired.
So thoughtful!
4. Me: I’m really tired.
Yowza! She’s like my mom!
5. Me: Sing me a song.
I literally chortled when she did this.
6. Me: Knock, Knock
And a snicker here.
7. Me: Where do you live?
Hmmmm. Interesting.
8. Me: You look very pretty today, Siri.
And she’s polite, too!
9. Me: Do you read any blogs?
And that’s what I was trying to get from her–that she read my blog. Oh wait. She’s not real, is she?
10. Me: Call my husband
And this is the best part. I can’t show you a screenshot, because it’s something you have to hear. My husband’s name is Les. But apparently she thinks he’s French. So, when I say, “Call my husband”, she says, “Calling Les White!” in a beautiful French accent! My kids imitate it all the time.
Clearly we have too much fun with my iPhone. We regularly try to find fun things to ask her. She’s kinda part of the family.
Do you have an iPhone? Any good conversations with Siri I need to know about?

That almost makes me want an iPhone! The French “Les White” made me laugh out loud.
Angie @ Many Little Blessings says
Love it!
We can’t upgrade phones until November, but I’m ready to upgrade to a newer iPhone with Siri. Plus, I need one with more memory. I didn’t even consider that my music was going to take up so darn much room! (I always have had large memory iPods.)
Jen @ BigBinder says
You are getting along way better with you iPhone than my friends are {I still have my droid, which says absolutely nothing to me}. So I can’t believe you didn’t ask it anything about puppets. Would you? Please?
Jen @ BigBinder says
Also Mr Linky is a liar ’cause he said my link wasn’t submitted and look; there it is twice. Tell Siri to have a chat with him, k?
Julia says
omg… i literally laughed out loud on some of these… “Amanda, I don’t do knock, knock jokes.” bah! hilarious.
Samantha @ KreativeKaring says
k, that is soo cool! I have an IPhone, but it’s the one right before Siri, so I don’t have a little phone friend. It sounds really helpful and fun though! ^.^

I might need a verse from Lydia because I’m definitely coveting Siri!!!

My oldest (5) loves Siri… We like asking “Where is Joshua?” to have her bring up Daddy’s location from Find My Friends and compare where his dot is to our dot on the map.
oh amanda says
oooh, fun! We might need to try that one!
Amy says
Yes! One time I said “I love you, Siri!” and she said “You are the wind beneath my wings.” As a child of the 80’s/90’s, I CRACKED UP.
oh amanda says
NO SHE DID NOT! That is hilarious!!
Staci Brown says
Oh how fun! I’d never get anything done b/c I’d want to talk to her all day! And I love that she’s singing a song about me ๐

So funny, but I want to hear about why your friend misses her Android… i’m on the fence about making the switch.

So funny. I still love my Android. Thinking about upgrading to Siri but I have an IPAD and I don’t want 2 of the same thing. Blackberry is coming out with a new one in the fall so I am interested to see what it will have.
Too much technology, so little time.
Lindy Lao says
If you have no one to talk to, a conversation with your iPhone would kill your boredom for sure. How long did you have Siri?
Cool stuff here. I like your conversation with Siri!

Dolly says
Oh man, we have so much fun with Siri too. Ask her to “open the pod bay doors” or “what is the best cell phone?”
Tracey says
Glad to know we are not the only family that talks to their phone. ๐
My daughter told Siri that she rocks and Siri said “I’m good but not great.” She’s even humble!

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

There are certainly numerous particulars like that to take into consideration. That is a nice point to deliver up. I provide the thoughts above as normal inspiration however clearly there are questions just like the one you carry up the place an important thing will be working in sincere good faith. I don?t know if greatest practices have emerged round things like that, however I’m certain that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Beats By Dre Solo says
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
