You are here: Home / me / I JUST HAVE…

I JUST HAVE…

This is another prompted writing post from the writing workshop at Blissdom. This was one that just kinda flew out of my pencil. And the intensity of the emotion surprised me. It looked muuuuch longer on paper and I was a little wary to share it with you today. I’d love to hear your response.

:: :: ::

I just have a passion.

I just have this thing inside me that just makes me want to love my kids, to lead them, to help them.

I just have this crazy feeling that every moment is the most important.

That every word, gesture and sigh influence.

I just have a wave beating against my heart and mind that demands I keep my kids protected from the surf—

or maybe it demands I lead them jumping in.

I just have a baton in my hand–to bring out the lovely notes and symphony of their lives

but to pass on to them as well.

Please share with us, what do you JUST HAVE?

Thanks to Amber, Mrs. Flinger and Sara Sophia and Amy Turn Sharp’s bio.

That really touched me. Thanks for sharing something so intimate…and for starting my morning off right.

Next time I am going to make the Wisdom Workshops a priority. I was only able to come for the main conference this year.

The WW were far and away more detailed and full of takehomes than the general conference. I highly recommend!

Is there somewhere that we can find daily writing prompts? I’m doing a search but haven’t found anything useful yet. I feel like I need something to generate thought flow in order to write anything down.

I don’t know, Liz. This is just what we did in the class. I remember one of them mentioning some books…but I didn’t really take notes or anything!

Posted on I do think Domu would make an excellent movie. Back in the late 90 s, when they were imniodlpg a bunch of the old projects in Chicago, I kept thinking to myself that this was a perfect opportunity for a filmmaker to step in and use one of those as a set.I think the new Blue Beetle would be a good candidate for adaptation.

I just have this incredible desire to make a difference in the world. To REALLY impact it. Not for me to be noticed. But for HIM!!!! I just have a need for my Lord to receive the glory, to be the one honored, to be the end all/be all in people’s lives.
Amanda- thank you for inspiring me to truly honor my Jesus! Can’t even tell you how much he has already used your words/ideas/humor/passion in my life!

Somedays I read your posts and I am so happy to know there are people out there that feel and think as I do. I love what you wrote, its so close to how I feel about my kids, we want to hold on so tight, but know they have to learn and grow too. I just started a website for my shop and added a blog to it today, I have been inspired by you and others. So thank you for your inspiration and the person you are, never be afraid to show the who you are inside, sometimes we surprise even ourselves.

What powerful inspiring words! Honestly, I feel like I need to share that I just have a story to share, that is deep within my heart, begging to come forth. But I just have insecurity and a root a rejection that is keeping it bottled up inside.

Wow, I cannot believe I just shared that with you. But you asked 😉

This is really beautiful, and I love the imagery. I wish I could think of something equally wonderful to share, but the first thing that came to my mind was “I just have…to get through the rest of this day.” 🙂 What can I say, it’s heading towards soccer practice, homework, dinnertime, etc, and I’m all pooped out already. At least now I have your pretty words to ponder on while I muster along. 🙂

Great post! It’s like I could see the pencil scrawling across paper as you wrote it down…I Just Have Desire for MORE – more of Jesus, more of His Word, more of my hubby, more of the kids – MORE.

I just wanted to say thank you for being a inspiration to me, I added a blog to my shop website, but I decided it is a different part of my life, so I now have my own separate blog. Its good to know there is moms like me out there who care so much for there kids its hard to give them the space to let them grow, I wish I could insure there days are always happy ones, full of love and smiles, but I know that isn’t the world that surrounds us and they have to be prepared too.
thanks for sharing your words and helpings us all be better mom’s
