This was my day yesterday…
1. After a week of not even trying to get up early, I woke up at 6:05 and walked through the neighborhood. But it was so cold, I was only outside for like 20 minutes. Afterward, I went into my closet to read my Bible and write, but couldn’t find a pencil. (Big surprise being that I was in my CLOSET.)
3. When Asa woke up I told him today was the day: POTTY TRAINING.
4. He decided he didn’t want to wear Buzz Lightyear underwear. Or Mickey Mouse. So, he went underoo-less.
5. 30 minutes into potty training, my husband tells me I need to take the car to his office to meet a guy who is going to replace my windshield because when Jill was in Atlanta for the Once a Month Mom tweetup, a boulder hit my windshield and cracked it and I had to get it replaced at the same time my husband was getting his 2 work trucks windshields replaced but when I got there the guy never showed so the kids and I hung out with my father-in-law at the office for an hour and the guy who owns the windshield company finally told me they would send the guys to my house instead.
6. Since we missed a whole half day of potty training I decide to take the kids to Babies R Us and buy a little potty for Asa. He wasn’t digging the climb up to the big potty.
7. We came home and I laid the kids down for naps promising them we could look at the new potty when they woke up–that’s how exciting it gets around here.
8. They were awakened when the windshield guy rang the doorbell. He fixed my windshield in less than 15 minutes while the kids watched through the front windows.
9. Finally, it was time to open the potty. Then I had to tweet this:
10. So, we went back to Babies R Us with our new windshield.

I know. I just kept staring at that receipt and toy with bewilderment. It was just creepy—and the receipt had some handwritten Japanese on the back AND a smiley face. WEIRD.

OH MY WORD! (<–in response to the potty) That is just truly bizarre. And incidentally, pretty good blog fodder. ;D Here's hoping your Tuesday is the best kind of boring!
oh amanda says
Oooh, I’ll take it! Boring Tuesday sounds great!
Kathy @ House of Hills says
Here’s to a totally boring Tuesday and successful potty training as well. That potty with the receipt thing – creeps me out. Like REALLY.
oh amanda says
I know. It’s so gross. It got creepier and creepier the more I looked at it. *shiver*
Heather @ Not a DIY Life says
And people wonder why stay-at-home moms never get anything done! I’ve had days like this too. Here’s to a better day today!
oh amanda says
Seriously! Yesterday was the day of ZERO accomplishments!
Jennifer says
Maybe the last recipient of the potty was leaving the toy as a potty training reward? Yeah, that’s pretty gross. Here’s to hoping you have a successful day of training at home with a few less interruptions!
oh amanda says
Ew. It was some Halloween sticker thingie and all the stickers were taken off of it. Yuck.
Alicia's Homemaking says
Scary!!!! I will now exercise utmost care when it is time for ME to buy little kid potties.

Carol@simple_catholic says
Oh, geez. I hope today and the rest of the week go much more smoothly for ya. And good luck with the potty training!
oh amanda says

All I can say is “EWW GROSS!” Have fun potty training. We’ve embarked on the adventure as well.

What an ending to your Top Ten! Why not email Babies R Us and let them know about the “quality” they are selling? Maybe you’ll get some coupons at least or they will make you their blogger.
Can’t wait to hear more about your potty training adventures! I’ve trained two girls and am a little nervous about training my baby boy who turns two in Feb. The girls were easy!
Leigh says
what what WHAT? {shudder}
OK – you are so inspiring me… we are almost out of diapers for Donovan, and I was thinking maybe now would be the time… so now WILL be the time! man, he’s almost a year older than Asa – I’m a slacker!!! 😉

I say, start completely over and don’t even think of Monday as the first potty training day! Just write it off (LOL)!
Dani says
I am laughing so hard right now! and thinking my trip to Walmart with 4 kids, three of whom spent the entire time singing “We are Family” at the top of their lungs, was really not that bad. Hope today was better. Please figure out how to potty train a boy for me and share the knowledge.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
y8 says
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Also a thing to mention is that an online business administration training course is designed for learners to be able to well proceed to bachelors degree programs. The 90 credit college degree meets the other bachelor education requirements so when you earn your own associate of arts in BA online, you may have access to up to date technologies in this field. Some reasons why students would like to get their associate degree in business is because they may be interested in the field and want to obtain the general schooling necessary before jumping to a bachelor diploma program. Thanks alot : ) for the tips you really provide inside your blog.
